Whoâs ready for a novel?
After driving for 8 hours to get to our resort, we decided to drive into town and find a bite to eat. What should have taken less than an hour, ended up taking more than 2 hours.
We arrived to a pretty busy restaurant that looked well staffed, but it took us asking a waitress for a table after 5 minutes of waiting in the lobby area. She brought us to a table that was still dirty from the last customers, and a couple minutes later remembered to come wipe it up.
She took our drink order promptly, but forgot my brotherâs ice water. If only this was the only thing she forgot tonight...
She took our order promptly as well, but when one member of my party tried to order a pizza, she told us it would take over an hour to come. While we were disappointed, we decided to take a couple extra minutes to pick something else, since we wanted to see the sunset.
15 minutes later, we had to flag her down to take our order. During these 15 minutes, we saw her walking around the restaurant seemingly ignoring us on purpose. Whether this is true or not, it doesnât take a genius to remember to check in on your tables, especially if they havenât ordered yet.
After we ordered, we spent 45 minutes or so waiting for our food to come. It was getting closer to sunset, so we flagged down our waitress again to ask if we could get our order to go. She said that was fine.
ANOTHER 10-15 minutes pass, and we still havenât gotten our food. We flag our waitress down AGAIN, and ask her if our food is almost ready. She said it would be another 10 minutes, and we asked to pay. The waitress takes our credit card and we waited another 10 minutes to get it back. No food yet. We have missed our sunset.
One of my party members goes to explain the situation and complain about the bad service. The manager on duty, a man with dark rimmed glasses, treated us terribly. Initially he offered us 25% off our bill, and told us he would get right on our order. He ended up telling us that our order, supposedly placed over an hour ago, had been put in only 20 minutes prior. If youâre following the timeline, the order was put in when the waitress had taken my momâs credit card to pay for our order. SHE HAD FORGOTTEN TO PLACE OUR ORDER!
ANOTHER 20 MINUTES GO BY, and WE STILL DONâT HAVE OUR TO GO ORDER! At this point, two other members of my party are up there telling the manager that this service ruined his night. The manager replied âwell thatâs on you if this ruins your nightâ. Absolutely ridiculous.
We finally got our order at 9:15pm, two hours after we came in at 7:15pm. The food was decent, but definitely not good enough to make up for the horrendous service we received. My hope for the few waitresses that were pleasant and kind to us is that this place finds new management pronto. Simply atrocious that the current manager is still in a business where he needs to interact...
Read moreFirst off I would like to say I am an extremely tolerant person. I am always one to give people the benefit of the doubt but this was unacceptable and the service was so bad I had to share. I experienced a first, actually over hearing the staff complain about my table. Our waitress although sweet enough at first was very inexperienced. She was very unsure of the menu items when asked. She told us that she always gets the soup of the day wrong whilst telling us it was one thing tonight only to come back and tell us she was wrong, which is fine. The garlic/cheese bread took awhile to come out as did one of our beverages, about 30 minutes from order time. The table of 7 all received entrees, soups, and salads all at different times. One of our party's dinner came out way before the rest of ours did. One salad came out and soups came out after some of the entrees came out. One of the salad orders which ended up being wrong was "re ordered" in the system and came out but was still wrong lacking the protein. So we were charged for item twice, we had to ask for it to be taken off the bill. Waitress towards the end of the service definitely seemed annoyed and wanted to leave. We had to ask multiple times for forks, knives, and napkins and still did not receive enough forks for everyone. A very nice bus boy came by and brought us some salt, pepper, parmesan, and crushed red pepper and told us that they had to wash some more forks for us. Waitress dropped off bill and told us "have fun figuring that out" as far as splitting the bill up between 7 of us. We are all adults and didn't appreciate the comment insinuating we can't do basic math. The thing that prompted me to write this review was when a few of us used the rest room before leaving and overheard the staff complaining about our table. Mind you it wasn't closing time yet. Direct quotes "Jesus, is that table still in that corner, tell them to cash out already!" The funny thing is if we were provided with better service our table would have been out of there long before the staff needed to talk bad about us as we left and give us dirty looks. This was definitely a first for me and unfortunately turned me off completely. The food was honestly good but the disrespectful attitude makes me not want...
Read moreI had stayed in a hotel for about five or six days working on a legal nightmare that I have been working on for months. There are no restaurants really close so I just ate continental breakfast but decided the last night to order some pasta from this place, what a mistake I wouldâve been better off getting the pasta from the gas station across the street. There was a tent in my room, but no pricing I wanted meat sauce and Alfredo, but since they make it on Alfredo, itâs six dollars for a side of it which I went ahead and ordered along with meat sauce gnocchi. The total was $24 that was for the gnocchi the side of sauce and a teeny tiny like quarter loaf of bread. It was so loud in the background I finally just let her go, but I wanted to order a salad and desserts and drinks and just give up on those. The delivery came relatively quickly. But they didnât bring silverware, and the driver didnât have any in his vehicle. He was more concerned about me signing the paper to which I signed. But I did not leave a tip on the paper. I told him when he came back with my silverware I would give him the tip and cash. Iâm still sitting here with the five dollars hoping he shows up even though itâs been almost 40 minutes. I donât think heâs coming back with my silverware and I have no way to eat the pasta. What a terrible company. No prices on the menus. The phone was so loud. It was literally making me agitated to the point that I did didnât even finish Placing my order and then they didnât bring silverware for a pasta dish so I couldnât eat it and even though they were supposed to bring me silverware, they just left and never came back and no one will answer the phone even though I know theyâre still there cleaning. So yet do yourself a favor if you read this and order somewhere else, Iâm just out $24 while I look at my cold ass pasta in my exceptionally expensive Alfredo sauce that wouldâve been tastier if they had bought it from a jar. because I did stick my finger in that to taste it and itâd be great if there was cheese in it, but itâs not six dollars worth of butter and flour. This is my first and last time ever trying this place out, and if I can succeed in saving anyone else from making the same mistake, then itâs...
