Army & Air Force Exchange Services — Local services in New Hanover Township

Sadly, I have to say this place is a rip off. I married into this life back in 2004 my x husband was 100% medically discharged. Any debt I owed was collected through the years of filing my taxes so I thought. The army exchange wiped out my whole tax check what is now 2023 once again what I thought was paid off almost 10 years ago. Within this time frame they have allowed interest rates late fees and every other kind of fee build up to wipe me out this year. I also asked the exchange representative why was I not notified not once about this debt that I could of paid without the interest rates she asked what is my address I stated my address and she said that is not what we have on file. I find it hard to believe the address on file was my childhood home which I have not lived in or used since 2001. I didn't even marry into the military until 2004. Just goes to show you how corruption and the biggest thieves come from government scams. So if you owe any money make sure it's paid completely and do not trust people without the proof because it seems to me I interest rates are a new way of collecting money from people who don't have much money. I will get to the bottom of all the incorrect information and them stealing my money. I know my prayers to Jesus will fix this problem. Shame on anyone involved. One more thing the phone number they had for me was one from a couple years ago. So they obviously had my updated information. Coincidentally the addresses were from one they shouldn't of ever had. You know I’am so glad as a young person I served my country, and glad of the opportunities much older and out of service. But every time I come into this exchange for what ever reason I’m being followed around, never ever had I experienced this before, very first time in this same exchange followed me and my daughter around the store up till I took out my star card to pay for our items. All I have to say is it’s disgusting behavior and you never know who you might be following around, ie retired, medically discharged, wounded warrior, active duty but in civilian clothing. And the crazy part is only asked me, but a white girl came and went no questions asked and the crazy part is, that the young lady watched me up at customer service paying my star card bill.. either way it’s crazy… living in crazy crazy times but I’m still glad...

Mixed feelings. Staff is always very helpful, but one person working in the electronics section, the week before Christmas is terrible. Have to wait a very long time to purchase a high value item cant be a good business practice. Black friday 1745 there was one cashier open in the main checkout area. After 15 minute wait one more opened, again not a great experience. Store is superclean. Toyland has been a big disappointment for the past several years, maybe too hard to compete with the big box stores. Great prices for Coach, MK, DB bags. KUDOS. cant understand why prices in Commissary are so much better for many seasonal products. At Halloween I purchased a large bag of candy 7dollars cheaper in th commissary than exchange.
