New Haven Computer Shop — Local services in New Haven

I left my computer here before christmas. Today is now the 6th of january. The store has been closed ever since I've dropped my computer off and no one has answered the phone and I cannot get my laptop back.

Update: as per the response to my comment days ago I was told that the 13th of January he would be back. Of course I went in on the 13th and the shop was closed all day. So today on the 14th I went in after I called. On the call the owner was extremely rude and was almost mocking my concern for my laptop being inaccessible, no communication, and no updates. Because his attitude was so horrible on the phone and took no accountability for when he was even going to look at or complete my computer work, he refused to answer any of my questions directly, and treated me like a child on the phone. He then told me that he was eating lunch and it was a great day. I went immediately into the store where he was stuffing his face with food. On the phone he even told me that he didn't tell anyone yet that he was back. That should go to show the attitude of this owner. Do not under any circumstances bring your computer or devices to the shop.in addition someone in my household also brought their computer in over a month ago. When they received it back after a long wait the keyboard was not even screwed down all the way and there was no way to repair without taking the entire computer apart which is defeating the purpose. He was extremely rude and condescending and everything I said he seemed like he did not care. This is the worst business owner in Fort Wayne in terms of trusting someone with your equipment your time or respect. Do not give this person your money or time.

UPDATE: The owner changed my keyboard layout so I could not access the terminal. Also, there is a malicious file that was downloaded on my computer on 12/18/2024 at 1:36pm and it has to do with data transfer. When I picked up my laptop the owner had his own external keyboard on top of my laptop before returning it which also points to my theory in the evidence I found on my computer. DO NOT TAKE YOUR TABLET HERE!! I hate even giving this place 1 star. I brought in a brand new Samsung tablet that wasn't turning on. There wasn't so much as a scruff on it, he gave it back to me completely destroyed. I mean, DESTROYED!! Tossed it on the table and then said, "I guess that's one for the junk pile". I mean, I would've understood if he'd simply said, "Sorry, this isn't my area of expertise, I can't help you". Then I could've taken it somewhere else but there was no fixing the damage he did to it. I couldn't take the tablet back to my daughter completely destroyed so the only option I had was to fork out another $350 for a new one. It would cost more to hire a lawyer to sue him...

A small shop run by seemingly competent technicians who don't boil over with jargen. Is located on Main Street in New Haven, which sadly seems more like age dead-end, and was forgotten about, over 50 years ago. The shop is small enough to wear unless you know exactly where to look, while it is on a thoroughfare, it is sandwiched between other shops and even at the 25 mile an hour speed that that road is posted at, you can easily miss it.
