Where to begin? As a lifelong learner, I'm glad I didn't pass this opportunity up to hear from the great Frank Z. About how to make pizza the New Haven way.

I learned so much! My cup is full. Not only is Frank entertaining but he knows his stuff. He's funny. He's a good teacher/instructor, knows the ins and outs of pizza making from the dough to the sauce to the oven to the tools, ingredients, and bringing an incredibly charred and crunchy product to the table. Excellent!

Included in this educational and entertaining package is the written recipe and procedure, ongoing support in the quest for making pizza at home (which will be easily reproducible with the information provided in class), and a couple of tools to take home with you to make that ah-beetz in your own kitchen. No special tools needed.

The hands on portion of the class is the best because I learn best that way. Everyone makes their own pizza to take home. Frank has great support with other chefs who will help in the process of making your own pizza.

Class is well-organized and Frank is open to questions, which is really helpful for continued understanding and learning.

I met some new people and even got to network with a couple of restauranteurs! Score!

Enjoy a class at the New Haven Pizza School and go home with homework you won't mind doing-...

I attended New Haven Pizza School last week and it was fantastic. Frank Zabski has a lot of knowledge about the history of New Haven pizza that he shares with the class while teaching how to make a pizza correctly. I learned about the history of pizza in America, how it started in New Haven and what makes it unique. He showed us how to make a good pizza dough and how to spread it easily for a 12-14 in pie and then how to make a simple sauce followed by the toppings. I had always fought with my doughs and usually lost the battles! I learned what mistakes I was making and look forward to my next pizza… I’m sure it will be a success going forward. We all made our own New Haven style pizzas and they all looked awesome. This class is a bargain if you want a few hours of fun while learning how to make a good pizza, especially if your pizzas are not coming out the way you want them. I highly...

I had the pleasure of attending New Haven Pizza School earlier this week with two friends to whom I gifted the class for their birthdays! We haven’t stop talking about it since!! Led by the OG “Pizza Gavone” Frank Zabski, we learned the history of New Haven Style Pizza and heard interesting stories about how our favorite pizza places on and around Wooster St. came to be. Then Frank took us step by step through the making of the dough, the sauce and the cooking of the “Apizza”, after which we each made our own pie! The class was so much fun, informative and ultimately ended with eating our own delicious creations! I can definitely see making New Haven style pizza at home now that Frank has walked us through the process. I highly recommend New Haven Pizza School by yourself, as a couple, or with a group (he offers team building workshops as well!)…it’s a great (and delicious) way to spend...

Frank is a class act and was a joy to learn from and work with. I really appreciate his vast knowledge of all things New Haven Apizza including the dough, toppings, history, etc. If you want to work with someone hands on to take the guess work on how to recreate your favorite New Haven Apizza, Frank is absolutely your guy!!! Super grateful for the experience working with him.
