Went in to buy a light bulb for my wife's license plate around 9:20 am. Found what I needed and went to counter. No one came. This is a very small store. I waited about 6 - 7 minutes, but still no one. I heard some noises coming from the back - there's no wall dividing the "backroom" area, but I still didn't want to go barging in - so I got close and said "hello". Nothing. Got a little closer, and said "hello" a little louder. I hear two people talking, one says "got a customer", and another guy walks past, looks right at me, grunts, and keeps walking.
I go back to counter, certain that someone will assist me. I have to wait another 3-4 minutes for a totally different person, distracted by trying to work on his cellphone, to appear and check out my single item.
I had a similarly poor experience the last time I shopped at this O'Reilly's.
I literally walked to this location; I live in a small town; I want to support local business whenever possible. But the in-store experience has to give consumers a reason to want to come back. Convenience can not be the only incentive you peddle.
I will never shop here again. There are so many alternatives, it makes no sense to waste my time and money on a place that has no concern for them.
My financial impact will not be felt, as minimal as it is, but I hope maybe a few people will read this review and treat this business with the to same dismissal they gave to me.
Thank you...
Read moreI stopped and purchased head light bulbs for my car. When I came in I received a friendly greeting and was asked how they can help me right away. They seemed very happy to install the bulbs for me. Dave and Tay came out and went to work. In the beginning they had some issues getting the old bulbs out, the work space was pretty tight. Another guy, I did not get his name, but he has a broken hand and he even assisted. Long story short, they got them installed in no time at all and they were very professional, friendly, and seemed happy to help me out. They did not make me feel like I was bothering them or wasting their time, unlike some other stores I’ve been in recently. I have had the same experience any time I go in for something. They always go out of their way. That’s what keeps me going back to them for auto needs. I would recommend O’Reilly Auto parts in New Lebanon to anyone....
Read moreMy alternator gave out as I was driving thru New Lebanon on my way home, another 25 minutes away. I managed to pull into O'Reilly's and Mike went out of his way to help me test 2 batteries, gave me a boost charge so I could make it home, and helped take out and replace the battery in my car. Having had my hands in the works I asked if I could wash my hands and as I turned to walk inside, another young employee was already walking toward me with a cleaning wipe and some dry towels. That's what I call taking care of the customer. And, yes, I ordered my new alternator from O'Reilly's as soon as I got home. Thank you both for helping me out. You went out of your way and I really...
