Good customer service means consistently meeting customers' expectations. It should not be dependent on whether a store employee has the ability or inability to cope with stress or what is going on in their personal lives. Rather it is about understanding their unique customer base and addressing their needs. This store's employees and manager, Shane Smith, enables poor customer service and is himself lacking in what good customer service is. Good customer service means providing timely, attentive, upbeat service to a customer, and making sure their needs are met in a manner that reflects positively on the store they represent.
