Marshalls — Local services in New London

If I could give this no stars I would, I went to the Marshall’s I always go to because it is always a great experience however, today it was far from great. I went in to shop for an outfit for my business trip and also return an item. Whenever I return an item I usually have my receipt but this time I happened to misplace it. Long story short I was in line to return my item and I was greeted by cashier Laurie P. based on what her name tag had said. She asked me if I had my receipt and I told her I don’t and she made a face and rolled her eyes at me. I was appalled she treated me, a consumer, in this manner as I also worked retail. So here I am as she is processing the return and asked me for my driver license which was no problem at all, but she then questioned where I lived and wanted me to repeat my address even though she literally had my driver license in her hand. I felt very belittled at this point, as if she were questioning that I lived in such a nice neighborhood. As a consumer I was shocked to be treated like that just because I misplaced my receipt, I love this Marshall’s even though it’s bit of a drive for me and they usually have everything I need. I love Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Homegoods. Love the selection and the prices. There's just one thing that drives me crazy about these stores here in Connecticut. I lived in the Midwest and these stores out there understood that the best thing about them was that you could buy these wonderful name brand items and pretend that you paid full price for them. That's why everyone shopped for gifts there. But here, they use these awful stickers that DO NOT come off and they scream, "I shopped at a discounter!!". It's such a pain in the butt. Please, call the Midwest stores and ask them where they get their easy-to-remove stickers. No residue, no hassle....

Marshall's is a hit or miss. Lots to look at, and sometimes you can find something you absolutely have to have, like this beautiful dress I wanted. Only had a size 2 and 6. Im a size 4. Decided to try on both, and the size 2 fit perfectly. So I was extremely happy. Sometimes you can only find one of something, and it's a bummer when not in your size. They have clothing, shoes, purses, home, sleepwear, etc. I don't always come home with something, but it's a cool place to browse, and hopefully, you find something. I was happy this time. So, win...
