Nails 4 U — Local services in New London

EDITED REVIEW AT BOTTOM, BUT WORTH THE READ. The staff is very friendly and nice. I got a full set of acrylics put on and I am only half pleased. They are a little bit longer than I would like, that is mostly my fault because I didn't double check the length after he had cut them. I asked for omened shape but instead I got extremely long round shape. The person who did my nails made me bleed once I didn't really notice until after he had already put sanitizing solution on it. They are very clunky and thick. The underneath is kind of a mess. The guy had a slight issue with one of my nails not liking the tip so he had to put on extra solution with extra glue and so much of it got on that it was burning my thumb. There was glue leaking all of my fingers I accidentally glued a couple my fingers together during the appointment. I will be calling again when I'm not as flustered to try to get my shape and length corrected. I feel like it is not my job to tele technician how to properly do any shape. I will be going in with pictures next time to show the proper shape that I want, I feel like I shouldn't have to do that if you are a professional nail technician. This is mostly just a review of the individual who did my nails, and I will update my review after I called to get this corrected.I will not be providing photos because I am ashamed to have these on my hand. Also, side note because I am just now noticing as I'm looking at them, the technician also didn't put nail polish close enough to my cuticle so now it looks like I have a huge gap on some nails.

EDIT: I was able to get an appointment to get them reshaped and fixed up. I got Liz who did ask why I didn't have it fixed yesterday I mentioned that I was just too quiet yesterday in the guy couldn't hear me. And she fixed my nails they are now perfect. And I changed my rating from a 2 star to a 3 star. I'm still not giving a 5 star review because I shouldn't have had any issues. But she did not charge me, and I was definitely ready to pay for the reshape and fix Tama I wouldn't fact recommend this nail salon as long as they get anybody but the guy who did my nails yesterday, or Liz. It started off that I had a 3pm appointment but when I got there they asked me to come back at 4. I was excited to try this place because I had read some good reviews. I am new to the area and am trying to find my go to salon. They may be good allegedly at some services but they do not know how to do powder dip manicures or work on short nails. They over drilled my nails, they didn't wrap my nails to soak off my old powder (just put my hand directly in acetone then drilled it off), they cut my cuticles and I have a burn mark on my skin from filing that instead of my nail. I had to tell the tech to stop because he was hurting me. They did not follow any of the steps I have ever used for dip powder and when it came time for the top coat they wanted to put on UV gel. I told them I did not want gel that is why I do dip powder and I wanted the top coat that comes with dip. They told me they had no idea what I was talking about and this is the only way they do it. I am very disappointed in my nails and hope they even last the two to three weeks I usually get...

I have visited this nail salon a few times because it’s close but I’ve had a mix of nail outcomes. I got my acrylics put on here and filled once here and once at another place that did them a lot better. Both times I went I had the same guy who gave my nails and odd shape when I asked for coffin and a slightly rushed paint job. My last time I went I’m not very happy because he messed up on one nail and still charged me $28 for just a fill! A full set is normally $28 but a fill should be $15 ish but this place is a little pricey. As a result I’m getting my acrylics taken off bc the prices add up.
