This "college" bar is a joke. Majority of the kids in there are under aged high school kids that have no problem getting in with a fake. I've been here a few times, gotten in. The last time I tried to get in my bf showed his ID, got in, then I showed my ID and the bouncer didn't let me in...he said "you're a younger 18 than him"??? Mind you me and my bf are BOTH 18(4 months apart). Then he asked for my college id but I didn't have it. Mind you again there are 16/17 year olds that get in with no problem, I've witnessed it with my own eyes. It's ridiculous, if police were to do an undercover investigation this place would get shut down and lose its liquor license like Reggies did. On top of that the bouncers are rude and unprofessional. They'll literally take your ID throw it on the ground and curse you out. Won't be visiting the boot...
Read moreRude! Would not let people who go to HBCU's in on college night(Tuesday's). Then said you could only get in if you go to Loyola, Tulane, UNO, or a SEC. However, they let people from ULL in, which is considered Sunbelt. Therefore, if it is college night then HBCU's and other colleges should be allowed, such as Centenary and ULM. Then they had a guy screaming to everyone in the line "college id, state id, $5," well maybe you should say which college instead of making people stand in a long line outside just to get turned down at the door. I have been to The Boot several times before and they have never down this. Good job Boot on losing business because if my friends and I can not get in then we will take our...
Read moreThis will be a review as an undergrad Tulane student many years ago. This iconic “on-campus” bar is not what its hyped up to be. Complete garbage and not even in a good divey-bar sort of way. Bouncers are always flexing; lookin to toss someone out as a way to show off. Bartenders tell you to piss off from the counter even after a good tip. Food is complete sludge. I remember every one of us trying to come here as a rite of passage but instead we just feed to these bad habits and continue to perpetuate what should have now been an extinct bar. Its only surviving because it is literally on campus; otherwise it would have ended up...
