Empanola — Restaurant in New Orleans

I've visited Empanola inside of the Auction House and I adore them! So by all means if you're in the Warehouse District, swing by and enjoy! The food is consistently amazing. When I realized there was a location near Tulane University, I quickly went in to enjoy and this is where things went downhill. There was a young lady working and when I arrived she was outside on her cell. That didn't bother me, it was a gorgeous day and the place is small so I totally understood. However, she took her time getting to me and even then it seemed as though I bothered her. I was able to place my order and when I went back in to retrieve my food, I asked for a to go fork and she said, "Yeah we don't have any". Is it possible to love empanadas anymore than we do? It's an amazing meat pie w/ amazing deep flavors. Empanola makes many different flavors & everyone of them is delicious. We loved them while they were in Auction House, we love them at Freret, and we'll love them on Magazine. This time we got their Shrimp & Cheese, Spinach & Artichoke, Beef Argentina, Gumbo, Crawfish Etoufee, & Banana Fosters. Each came w/ some delicious sauces: Salsa Verde, Salsa Roja, and a sweet chocolate dip for the Banana Fosters

PS: it's so cute that they stamp their empanadas w/ the fillings...

Food is good, if they don’t SCREW UP YOUR ORDER, which is more often than not!!! Today I got home and was missing 1 of the empanadas I ordered, which is like the 2nd or 3rd time that has happened. A couple other times I received different ones than what I ordered. Both from location and Doordash. On top of it, they are rude when you point out their mistake, that you paid for something you didn’t receive! I tip them for that kind of service… Its not that hard, they have a super basic menu!!!
