We had a bit of a drive-by experience; just a 2-day stay in the Big Easy and not much of a chance to sample the kosher food scene. To top it off, I was recovering from a cold and my wife was too exhausted from the trip to go out to eat. Rimon looked like the best option for a take-out dinner, and what a great option it was!! The "farm-to-table" food was exactly as promised, and if it suffered from the 15 minute ride back to the French Quarter, we didn't notice. Her Turks&Cados (with the crispy beef bacon, of course!) was as good as gone before I could figure out where I put our plastic cutlery, and my Rebecca (with salmon for protein) was perfect -- the Brussels sprouts were tender, flavorful, not-at-all sour, the pasta was still somehow a perfect al-dente, and the salmon flaked without being dry -- results that only come with great ingredients & chefs that know what to do with them.
