Runnings — Local services in New Ulm

The service here is fantastic. The store is awash with variety. Their prices, although a bit high, are competitive to their related retailers such as Fleet Farm and local Feed and Seed stores. The staff is so friendly, and the whole shopping experience moves at a slower, more relaxed pace. The store size is just right, not too big, not too small, and they always plenty of cashiers. I purchase all my pet supplies from them, and their shoe and boot selections are fantastic, and they carry larger mens [shoe]sizes than other retailers! I'm giving them 4 stars because I find their seasonal items are priced super high, and their pet supply isles can be a bit confusing to navigate. Overall, if you have a Runnings in your community shop there. They are local, their staff comes from your community, and you will not be disappointed in the variety and quality of the products...

I am writing to express my appreciation for the New Ulm Runnings power sales and repair shop. I have purchased power equipment from this store and have had repair work done in the shop. I have always received excellent service and information for the equipment I use. Recently, I dropped my leaf blower as I was removing it from the shelve where I store it. The shelf is six feet above the shop floor. At impact with the cement floor, the door over the vacuum function snapped off breaking the closure mechanism. The blower has always started easily but not this time. I called the power shop and spoke with Paul Stueber, explaining the circumstance. He suggested the kill switch under the vac door. That was it. The blower runs perfectly again. Paul has advised repairs for me before and has always been right-on. ...

Went to buy a hay feeder. Checkout was madding. Clerk didn't know what to do with with a tax exempt form that was filled out prior to purchase. Clerk called someone to get help and the gal said that she would send it to corporate but we would have to file for the taxes charged at the end of the year. When she explained it to me she asked if I understood what she was saying. I told her yes I understood but believed that she was wrong. Husband wanted to get going so he said just pay the tax and let's get going. The gal kept the tax form. I got my hay feeder but paid $50 more in tax than I should...
