I have not completed a purchase yet, but I stopped in to take a look at a truck. They were able to provide me additional pictures and video upon request before hand as it was a two hour drive for me to go look at it. They even stayed a bit late to be sure I had a chance to take a look after work yesterday. I’m still figuring out a couple things on my end, however should I opt to just trade my current vehicle in I felt they offered a fair and very competitive trade value on my vehicle despite the miles on it. Very straightforward with me which I appreciated. Most dealers I feel would not have been willing to offer what they did, though I’m hoping to sell it outright to a friend in order to have extra towards the new vehicle. All of which they offered to assist with if I go that route as Weelborg Chev said they could then buy it from me and resell to my friend at the same price as it could then be applied to the new purchase and reduce paying extra sales tax (essentially the dealer would a middle man or “pass through” meaning they’d make little to no money on my trade but then be able to apply a larger value of “trade” to the new vehicle purchase).
I felt they were professional and fair to start with, gave a fair trade estimate for me to consider, and were even willing to provide me with new tires for the truck I’m looking at should this deal through (I offered to install them myself if they’d be willing to at least provide tires, regardless of what brand or model tires as I am not going to complain about what ones they’d provide even if they’re cheaper highway tires).
I am very appreciative of their time so far and their willingness to give me the best offer they could within reason. Even though I’m still in the works yet on some specifics on my end to determine financing I can say that based off my initial interactions with the team there to this point I feel that I would have minimal to no issues by the end of completing a purchase with them!
Thanks for being patient so far and willing to listen to my voice as a potential buyer as it gets us that much closer to completing a deal versus other dealers where I have been treated poorly or been given insulting trade values and ended up walking out of due to attitudes or sales people being too pushy to make a deal happen on the spot. They were trying to make a deal with me on the spot as that’s their job, however once again Weelborg Chev first listened to me and I did not feel like they were trying to force me into buying right on the spot then and there.
I am experienced as a qualified and well respected heavy duty diesel technician and I know many of the sales tactics and tricks used by dealerships as my dad used to work at one, so I will absolutely walk right back out those doors if I’m not being treated fairly. It’s not often that I can have this much confidence in dealerships due to others I’ve visited in the past.
The truck I am looking at was up front waiting for me to look at, and it was all clean and ready for a test drive. They also had zero issue with me using my professional grade Snap-On scan tool to check for codes that may not trigger an engine light (there were a couple present, but they were minor things that are fairly common on that vehicle such as low voltage on body control module and ABS circuits, but nothing that was extremely concerning). Had they said no or had I found a bunch of untold issues then I would feel they were trying to hide something, but at no point did I come across anything “wrong” with the truck that I felt they were trying to hide from me! Some dealers will try to hide issues on used vehicles.
I hope I am able to get things in place to finalize a deal and if so, I will come back and update my review to include how the entire process went. Thanks again so far your team’s time...
Read moreEDITED: I've had this car repaired several times now, and each month it is something new. Not even 24 hours into it I had to bring it back for a battery cable... (Inspected before sold... Sure) The first time something major went wrong a warranty was mentioned so I drove it back to New Ulm from St. Paul where I currently live. (I wanted to stay local... My mistake.) When I arrived I was told there was no warranty and the repair would cost me upward of $600. After having that fixed, I start experiencing engine problems the next month. (At this point I hadn't had the car for more than 4 months and had put MAYBE 5,000 on it.) I had to fight to figure out a solution to get it fixed. They DID tow it down there and leave me with a rental, but this was after I had spent two days on the phone trying to resolve this issue. I had just wanted to be traded out or come to some solution because I'm still terrified to this day of driving this car. They eventually fixed it for free after I told them that this repair now would put me over what I even put down for a down payment. After they fixed it for free the sales manager had told me "I was hoping you'd be more grateful." EXCUSE ME? I work in management and was not one to complain for that reason, but that was something I would never say to someone. I was grateful they fixed it but still irritated because I've had it fixed MULTIPLE times!
Fast forward to now, about two months later, and I'm having identical engine problems. This makes me wonder what "Chevy experts" are really there or if they are okay with ignoring lemon laws. So now in the six months of owning this car I have experienced a new battery cable, new fans since my engine was overheating, new spark plugs, and a new coil. Not to mention it's doing the same shaking thing it did before doing the most recent repair. So I really don't think it's fixed.
Do NOT buy from here if you're not looking to be screwed over and jerked around. This is the worst car buying experience I've ever had. I know I bought it used and expected new repairs like brake pads and tires... But this??? After being told it's inspected before put on the lot?? Nope. Never buying from them again. Now I'm stuck with a loan and hundreds of dollars more in repairs on a car I don't feel safe in.
Never coming back. I don't even trust them with fixing it.
Yeah the sales person was great but I feel like they did a good job of fooling me and taking advantage.
One star is too much. I feel sick over the last six months and will never bring my business back.
ORIGINAL :Had the best experience with Zachary while test-driving and purchasing a vehicle for myself!! If you're looking to buy a car he's definitely someone to see. I was so thankful that he was so patient with my two toddler sisters that had to tag along. (Sorry they left your desk a mess!!) He did great job breaking down everything for me and was so personable for the whole interaction. I went home raving and telling everyone how impressed I was with the whole experience. Very very pleased!! Thank you, Zachary!! Will definitely be sending more...
Read moreHonestly, Weelborg provided me with the best experience I have had with any dealership. I am a returning customer as this is my third vehicle purchase with Weelborg consecutively. These guys are honest, respectful, and professional in every aspect. The whole process from sales, services, financials, and everyone else is a standard that other dealerships should strive for. I had to make warranty claims which resulted in the issue being resolved fast. The 4 in 1 package is impressive to say the least after a tire blew and dented my rim. New rim replaced at no cost! Currently a little rust spot created a hole in the muffler of a different Weelborg purchase. It is covered! I highly recommend the Cilajet protectant to keep your vehicle protected and the benefits that support any damage. I did run into a slight issue recently and my options were limited. I went in and had a conversation explaining certain details and how they played out in my perspective. I thought it would be a headache, but I was greeted with an unbelievable level of understanding, respect, and motivation for a solution. The fact that when a scheduling conflict surfaced and delayed the process, without hesitation decided that option was not going to work. A few short moments later I received an offer for a better solution that legit blew me away. I drove home a new truck today thanks to the professionalism within Weelborg and their dedication to their customers. They didn't have to keep their word in a legal perspective, but they were unhesitant to stand by their word. Respect, Trust, and Loyalty are understatements as I won't go anywhere else for future purchases. Ryan, Matt, Zach and John are the guys that worked hard for me. Even the other employees unrelated to my issue were very polite and respectable! If I could rate with more stars I would. 5 out of 5 for me and I will, again, be a returning customer in the future!
Hydration is very important in this establishment; you will not...
