I’ve never left a negative review, but it’s by far the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. It was back in June, and I have hid my hair for months. I even bought extensions in hopes I could hide the atrocity. It’s finally growing back to where the bad haircut is blending out but I regret going there everyday. If I don’t like a haircut, I eventually move on! Hair grows back, but that’s how bad this one was. I was in need of a self esteem booster and left feeling worse about myself. I have thick, wavy, hair, and The stylist has short curly hair so I felt confident she’d know what she was doing, but she chopped my hair in two uneven layers up to my chin and the other layer up to my ear. I left embarrassed and in a rush to get back to work so I didn’t say anything. I was hoping it just looked bad because of how it was styled.

A month later, I went to get it blown out when I was on vacation and the stylist had no idea what direction to flip the hair because the haircut made no sense. Ever since, people always comment on how uneven it was cut. It’s finally growing back and I’m usually quite adventurous with haircuts but this is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me. I had my hair cut here last week by Emi and she was INCREDIBLE. I have curly hair which I was letting grow out, so my layers were in need of fixing. I expressed that I wanted to try and keep my length but whatever she needed to do to fix the layers would be alright by me. This is truly the only experience I had at a salon where I actually felt heard. She gave me exactly what I wanted and somehow managed to keep the length. And unlike another salon I went to, she didn't try to turn the style into something I would never be able to replicate at home. Aside from Emi, every single person who works here was so nice and made me feel like a regular as soon as I walked in. My socially anxious self really appreciated not feeling any judgment. I cannot say enough about how amazing this experience was for me. During this pandemic, I have really not been comfortable with enclosed space interactions, but I desperately needed a hair cut. I called beforehand to understand a bit more about what they were doing as far as protection of both the staff & the clients - and they were 100% true to their word! My temperature was checked, everyone was in a mask, there was sanitizer galore, and everything was incredibly clean.
