My experience with DKM began when I called to inquire about the store's hours. The gentleman on the phone was so pleasant and inviting. He told me his name was Mo. The customer service on the phone was so warm and professional, I determined that I had to visit the shop. On Saturday, my husband and I visited DKM. I wanted to get my wedding band restored after I had taken it to another jewelry in Manhattan and they weakened my band after resizing it. It became warp and out of shape. Mo looked at it, explained my options and what he could do to make the ring better. Not only was I impressed with his professionalism, but also his knowledge of jewelry. My husband and I were both so impressed with his customer service, that my husband also decided to get his ring resized. Not only did Mo perfectly resize our rings, but he also restored the prongs around my diamond as they were so worn and barely existed. He saw that and fixed it. He did an EXCELLENT job on both rings and we will DEFINITELY be bringing all of our jewelry back here for repairs. It's hard to find excellent service in NYC, but Mo nailed it. He is a rare jewel! I came here to change battery on my watch. After an hour “of work” he claimed that the battery is not a problem (I need to pay for a battery as well because he took it out of the package) that watch is broken and was trying to push me to buy one of the watches he was selling. Also, he claimed that whole mechanisam is broken and he can repair it for $150 and that we are not going to get better deal anywhere. Today I took my watch to different place for second opinion where it was showed to me that while he was trying to change battery (which he obviously didnt know how to do) he cut the copper cord and thats why watch is not working. I understand that mistakes happen, but breaking it and than trying to push me to pay extra for his mistake is unacceptable. Will never be going there again.
