Doofood — Local services in New York

So disappointed. Dont ever order here!!! My daughter ordered for me while i was at home pendemic time.she doesn't want me to go to grocery store for my safety. As a schedule I got delivered every weeks in a row but 3times missed one bags in the whole menu bags. Pork was skipped and else.i didn't tell my daughter until 2nd missing bags and after 3rd time had that same happened So I told her please let them know at least.( I have been order my own over 3yrs since Doofood opened a business) I truly understand how much hard to set up a new business(my daughter didn't want credit back from them because doofood is not big company thats what she said) Ok.thats good.. And after that I waited next order on Friday they skipped..... they said refrigerator problems! and following week order they skipped again... they emailed last minutes! "won't be delivery today,due to the system error didnt prepared " I was upset cause nothing much left at my refrigerator that day and their continuous mistake!

This is it!! We will never ever order again. They made us so frustrated. So...

Love this service! There's no food waste. I live in the middle of nowhere so I have limited access to fresh korean food. It's the perfect portion size even though at first glance it looks like it might not be enough. This does not leave me wanting to snack afterwards because it really hits the spot. Ultimately I believe I save on groceries - not to mention, I come home from work really excited to do the BARE minimum cooking with guaranteed excellent results. All of my own homemade korean food efforts end up being too heavy handed on the wrong flavors because I'm well-intentioned but cramming to prevent food waste - when really korean food was never supposed to be so gluttonous and sloppy. I'm an amateur and I'm going to leave it to these professionals! I would recommend this for those who are really enjoy the right flavor-profiles, love variety, and feel they are deserving of consistent restaurant-quality...

I have been using Doofood for a couple of months now and can honestly say, the experience has been wonderful. I've missed Korean food so much after my year living over there and since I live far away from any authentic Korean restaurants, this service has been a blessing, haha. I like that the pricing is straightforward and that the shipping is already figured into the cost of the food, so there is no hidden costs tacked on at checkout. The food stays perfectly fresh every time even though it takes two days to reach me over here in Michigan. If I had one thing to mention you could improve on, it would be the packaging of the different kimchi. Occasionally they manage to leak a bit, even through the plastic wrap. Otherwise, my experience has been great and I'm always excited to see what's on the menus each...
