Let me start by saying — if I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Carina’s boutique in Whitestone is nothing short of a miracle. I am beyond grateful for what they did for me, and I want everyone to know just how incredible this team is.

I ordered my daughter’s prom dress online from a random website (rookie mistake, I know), and took it to a local dry cleaner for simple alterations — just to take it in and shorten the length. I picked it up the day before prom and was completely heartbroken. The dress was ruined. There were visible holes and fabric pulls, the sewing was a disaster, it was puckering in every direction, and worst of all — it was still too big and too long. I couldn’t believe it.

When I told the dry cleaner, they begged for one more day to fix it. I was desperate and said yes, which meant I was now going to pick up the dress the day of prom. Huge mistake. I showed up, and of course, it was still an absolute mess — maybe even worse.

At this point, it was about 11 a.m., prom was at 5, and I was driving around crying, literally begging three different tailors to take a look and help me. All three refused. They said it was too damaged and not fixable. One even told me to “just buy a new dress.”

With time running out and my heart sinking, I remembered hearing about Carina’s in Whitestone. I had nothing to lose, so I rushed over — and from the moment I walked in, everything changed. When I showed them the dress, they were visibly shocked at the condition — but they didn’t flinch. They said, “Give us one hour. We’ll fix it.”

One hour. I couldn’t believe their confidence — and it wasn’t just talk. In exactly one hour, they handed me the dress, and it was PERFECT. It fit like it was custom-made for her. All the damage had been repaired, the fit was flawless, and it looked like a completely different dress — better than when it arrived from the website.

They didn’t guilt me for not buying the dress from them. They didn’t make excuses. They just saved my daughter’s prom night.

Not only is their tailor incredibly skilled, but their dress selection in-store is also stunning — I seriously regret not shopping there to begin with. And as someone who works in luxury retail, I can say confidently: Carina’s understands true customer service. In an industry where people are often too busy or too indifferent, this team goes above and beyond with heart, talent, and professionalism.

I highly recommend Carina Boutique. I did not buy my gown at the boutique, but bought it at David's Bridal. I was told that the store was not closing and David's Bridal would be able to do the alterations. When I picked up my gown the following week, I was told that the store was closing. I was panicked, and found Carina Boutique through recommendations of other residents of Whitestone.

The seamstress is incredibly talented. The entire bodice needed to be opened to fix something on the back of the gown. The gown fit like a glove and was absolutely beautiful. The staff at Carina was kind and did not overcharge because I did not buy the dress at the boutique. In addition to my gown, they altered my niece's bridesmaid gown.

I did buy my flower girl's dress at the boutique. The staff showed me all flower girl dresses in her size and were not pushy in the least about the purchase of the dress. I highly recommend the skilled seamstress, and kind and thoughtful staff at Carina Boutique. I will definitely buy gowns at the boutique in the future.

I was in a nightmare situation where another boutique failed to send my godsons baptism outfit and I was without an outfit two days before his baptism.

I am shopping from out-of-state for a specific Piccolo Bacio outfit (which finding inventory in a 6m size I learned was impossible as many places just order through the designer).

Karen was AMAZING! Store had lots of inventory. You can tell the store was busy when I called but she was very attentive to me and my situation. She went above and beyond to help me find an outfit that I could overnight to get my godson his baptism outfit. She had great recommendations, sent photos via text and just made the whole situation as smooth as possible. You can tell she cares.
