7-Eleven — Local services in New York

Over all? GREAT STORE & PEOPLE! However over a month ago I was here with my husband (who is trans, which is personal and shouldn’t matter but for this situation it’s a detail you should know) and when we went to check out the associate at the register said something in the realm of “oh well the man should pay and take care of his lady”, my reply was “well he is my man”, the associate proceeded with an attitude till we left the store. This was the first situation. Wether male or female, trans or not, this comment combined with the reaction was rude and in this case very transfobic.

The second situation happened recently a month after the first interaction with this associate. We hadn’t seen them working there at all and when we went up to the counter to buy some alcoholic drinks she asked for my ID, I had been there a lot with no problems and all of the employees know me very well (probably as weird guy with piercings that always smiles and says to have a blessed night) but I’m this situation the associate working looks over my ID several times, tries to scan it, and is even told my the manager to type the ID numbers in (which they didn’t) and proceeded to say my ID is a fake and refused...

The older gentleman with the mole on his face needs to be fired. Every single time I come into the store he makes me wait while doing some miscellaneous task that can be done after tending to a regular customer. Tonight I had enough and finally decided to speak up and say excuse me while he read a newspaper and ignored my very existence. We came to this god forsaken 7 eleven briefly, the slurpee machine was apparently not working as it stopped halfway, my girl called this korean lady manager/ employee to check, she tells me rudely "Move" tries it once then goes "It Broken" and then in a fit of rage looks at me as if Im guilty and snatches the cup from my hand like I was gonna run away with it! Theres ways of treating customers and if your not fit to deal with customers you have no business working or running such stores.
