I went with my elderly mother to buy food for our two households yesterday. We had to wait outside because of covid restrictions, in the hot weather, for about ten minutes. We couldn’t enter the store simultaneously due to the restrictions, but once I was allowed in and the butcher realized we were shopping together, he told us we couldn’t both be in the store!!! WHAT?! He said people were waiting. There was one young woman waiting who was only behind me for five minutes, the expected situation during covid restrictions. I politely argued that we both needed to shop and we needed to discuss our combined purchases. HE WOULD NOT BUDGE and told my elderly mother to leave the store!!! I was furious, confused, and made to feel belittled and discriminated against! Would he kick out an elderly man and his son? I will never shop here again! The men there showed no respect to two women who are caring for our families during this stressful and difficult time. This man didn’t even think about how fickle his decision was, because after he let that woman in, there was no one else waiting, and it cost him my business indefinitely, and hopefully those I share my experience with. THERE ARE PLENTY OF SMALL BUSINESSES GRATEFUL FOR OUR PATRONAGE, especially at a time like this, so I’ll be spending my family’s money there from now on. They should be...
Read moreFaicco’s Pork Store is hands-down my go-to spot for quality meats — they never disappoint. I always come here specifically for their burger meat, and it’s honestly some of the best you’ll find anywhere. It's perfectly ground, super fresh, and has just the right amount of fat for a juicy, flavorful burger every time.
On top of that, I always grab a pack of their homemade sausages — both sweet and hot. The seasoning is spot on, and the quality is always consistent. Whether I’m grilling or tossing them in a pasta dish, they hit every time.
One of the little touches I really appreciate is the slice of cheese they offer for the burgers — it’s simple, but it makes a difference. It shows they think about the full experience, not just the raw product.
The staff is friendly, the place has that classic old-school butcher vibe, and the prices are fair for the quality you’re getting. If you’re serious about cooking with top-tier ingredients, Faicco’s is...
Read moreI love this place because it is a New York institution. It's a neighborhood place that has been here for years and still does everything the old school way. This shop is the best Italian pork store around - they have top notch product, make their own sausages and cured meats in house, and is immaculately clean. It's fun to just walk by and check out what the butchers are doing through the windows. Try the prosciutto balls - so so good. By their house made sausage! If you're trying to find something pork related and don't know where to go - go here! Need some caul fat for making your own sausage, pate or roulades? They have it! Want to make your own bacon - buy the pork belly here! Want to attempt your own porchetta? This place had the goods! I'll stop now but you get the picture. It's terrific and you should...
