I was so pleased to see that a Soul food restaurant was opened on 1/1/22 . The food arrived promptly, I liked that as well, so I could get my grub on. However, this food should never be considered Soul Food, EVER!! It tastes absolutely disgusting! The only thing that was prepared decently was the fried chicken. The collard greens were bland having no seasoning at all, the Mac and cheese was sad and disgusting, no way was it baked, no cheese, no nothing. The candied yams were a disgrace, no flavor. I'm just not understanding how things went so wrong for all 3 sides? My son stated the only two things that were edible on his plate was the barbeque chicken and the white rice. He stated the collard greens tasted like tree leaves and the Mac and cheese was a mystery g go . Listen I'm willing to come to the restaurant and give pointers and advice. Because I don't want this food to represent Soul Food. Please reach out to me. I will seriously stop by on a weekend and cook & show you how it's done. But I will never purchase food from here again. I’m sorry to say that the food was not very good AT ALL. I ordered a fried chicken dinner and a curry chicken dinner thru Uber Eats. The fried chicken itself was just okay but the macaroni and cheese was horrible. There was no cheese and the macaroni was bland. The Collard greens were bland and tough. The Curry chicken tasted burnt and it had all of these little bones in the chicken as if they had scraped the bottom of the pan to gather enough chicken Particles to make my dinner. The sweet Plantains were good however. I hope that this place will read some of there other reviews and revamp there recipes. I actually wish I would have read the reviews...

I really wish I could have given it no stars. The worst soul food ever. I had shrimp, bake mac and cheese and yams. The shrimps weren't bad. However, the macaroni was just elbow noodles with butter and a few sprinkle of cheese on top. Like whaaaa? It was white and I should have known it would have been trash. Then the candy yams... why they play with the food like that? There was nothing candied about them yams. It was just boiled sweet potato with nothing else. Not even a hint of vanilla abstract. I'll advise against...
