I don’t know how many times I’ve come here, but it’s for sure more times than I can recall. Over the years Sunnyside has had more than one bakery and yet this is the one that I’ve been coming to the most. Paris Baguette has all sorts of food and drink choices, but I’ve usually just stuck to the pastries and sandwiches. Every once in a while, I’ve ordered matcha green tea and those are great.
What made me want to write this up was having cake from here fairly recently. I know that there are better bakeries around Sunnyside, but since this one has been pretty decent for just about everything I’ve ordered here, I keep coming back to it.
Unfortunately, the cakes just aren’t for me anymore. I don’t know if the recipes have changed or what, but the most recent cake I had was more or less all sizzle and no steak. The cakes look good, the fruit’s fresh, and the bakery offers a lot of variety when it comes to which kind of cake you’d like, but I’ve recently noticed that they’re pretty bland. It could be due to the kinds of cakes that I get from here, but they just don’t taste as well as they look. The cake itself is dry, thin, and you’re left wanting more.
The other day my mom brought me a piece of cake she bought from some lady off the street and that one was much better than anything I’ve recently had from Paris Baguette. I realize that Paris Baguette is a chain bakery and it’s not as if it’s the best place for pastries, but you’d think that they’d be able to offer more than someone doing this on the side.
I don’t know if I simply have to be more careful with the cakes that I order here or if I have to just shop elsewhere, but it’s frustrating to spend more than $20 on a cake only to realize that a lady baking cakes as a side hustle is doing a much better job.
I’ll definitely keep coming back here for the food items that I’m still satisfied with (sandwiches, smaller pastries, drinks), but chances are I won’t be getting cakes from...
Read moreThere are more then 3,500 paris baguette location around the world! I love Paris baguette bakery more then any other bakeries I have tried so far.
To get my bakeries I either go one in koreatown, broadway, or in queens. But the queens and broadway workers are the best because they will recognize you!
All three location morning hours the tables are pretty much dirty and the garbage area isn't cleaned up. Spilled coffee and etc.
This location the workers are super nice! I always get the same thing because they are just so good to be eaten everyday.
Egg tart, it's so good that one is not even enough. The crust soft no words to explains it's just so good!
Recently tried cream cheese donut my friend recommended me to try. Sometime it has sugars around it and a little cream cheese inside.
Blueberry cream cheese pastry this one I always get IS THE BEST! It have cream cheese on one side and blueberry on the other side.
I have tried almost all of their bakeries and can't name it but will upload pictures instead.
Their sandwiches and cakes are so GOOD TOO! Most of the cakes is good but especially the cappuccino cake that one is too sweet! If you're not really a fan of sweet stay away.
They also have ice cream sandwiches they started to sell recently (not long ago I believe) Overall with this location I have no problems, whenever I stop by it's just an...
Read moreTerrible customer service. I've been going to this Paris Baguette from the very first day they opened. We've been regulars visiting at least twice a week every week. We've been buying cakes from here for every holidays and birthdays ever since they opened back in 2016, and we've bought countless breads from them. We've got the cards with the stamps many times but because we don't carry them all the time, we ended up with several cards with stamps around the house. Today on Mar.14 around 6:30pm, my husband went to get some pastries and a bread using the cards combined, the staff member refused to redeem the stamps, saying they don't accept the old stamps, because we got the stamps from elsewhere. As you can see, the cards are from this location, has "Sunnyside" clearly written on top. Yet, the Asian male staff said he'd been working there for a long time(really?) and for as far as he knows, they never had that stamp. My husband was so upset that he couldn't even ask for the manager to speak to. We were one of the few people who anticipated the opening of this location even before they first put a sign of the upcoming grand opening. I'm sure he wasn't working at that time. Staffs are usually nice but we're very disappointed from such negative...
