Walked in early afternoon; no one else was in the store; asked for some help about activating my new Verizon phone. I'm older generation and not tech-savvy; last one I had was an S9 so it's been years. When I lived in Manhattan, the Verizon staff were excellent and helped professionally with any of my inquiries. The person at this location (in his 20s), was seated, slouching, sipping his iced coffee, looking bored and annoyed and constantly cut me off with my questions even if I explained to him that it's been years since I had a new phone but have been a loyal Verizon customer for around 8 years now. I am not tech-savvy so just needed extra explaining with the steps. After cutting me off for the nth time with his annoyed tone, I just gave up. Unfortunately, like some other entitled younger generation ones, he had the audacity to tell me that I was the one disrespecting him and even said that he charged me "free" for activating my sim card when it was supposed to be $50.00. Seriously, is this for real ?! All he did was look at my sim card. When I walked in, my very first question was, "Is it still free to ask for some help about phone activation because it's been several years since my last. " He did not mention any fees Then, I just walked out and later, managed to activate with help over the phone when it would've been better in-person. I was also told that all the necessary charges were already billed before the Verizon phone was shipped to me. Based on other reviews, this location is good only with their own direct sales, nothing more. Read moreBack on September I went to open a Verizon Wireless account for the first time, long story short the gentleman named Rohan made a mistake and transferred a wrong number to the new Verizon account, once I realized that, he reverted everything and close that account wich I guess stayed under my name. Right after that he started the process again and open the account under my name and at that time he transferred the right number. That first account impacted my credit to not allow me to add devices on my active account because there were some charges passed due under it, reason why I wasn’t not allowed to open an additional 4 lines with Verizon, but funny, the gentleman Adrian instead of finding more about the situation he just told me your credit is blocked and we can not assist you to add the 4 extra lines so I ended up losing the iPhone promotion without tell me a reason, he just told me you have to call you credit bureau to find out what happened. Today I decided to call Adrian to let him know what was the problema that he couldn’t tell me and he refused to admit their mistake in fact he told me that what Verizon customer servir told me is not true. For me be a first customer with verizon and already have two accounts one closed and one open with no problem that only could have happened that day when Rohan made that mistake and no even a note or remark on what happened, that was the reason why I was reported and my credit was blocked, thank God Verizon Wireless Customers Service after a long call over a 1 hr and talking to many representatives they ended up waving the charges and that’s it...
Read moreI've been getting phones from this store since I moved to Sunnyside 15 years ago. The old owners were tremendously knowledgeable and helpful and that has not changed at all. I recently went in to get a new phone. Adrian and Javier know everything you possibly could need to and went incredibly far above and beyond to help me. First, Adrian gave me a free charging block because I got a case and screen protector. There were some problems with the data transfer (not their fault), and because it was taking a while he let me take the new and old phones home with me, despite that I was trading the old one in. When I had an issue with keeping both phones charged during the transfer, he gave me his personal external charger to take home with me to use, and said I didn't need to bring it back until after the weekend! When I mentioned in passing that my truck takes a long time when charging my phone, he went in the back and found a cigarette lighter plug in charger that makes it work much faster, and gave it to me for free- just because. They are knowledgeable, friendly, sincere and genuinely want to help in any way they can. If I ever leave this neighborhood, I will still come back here to get anything phone...
