Key Food Marketplace — Local services in New York

This review is not about the quality or the availability of products, I shop at this place every other week and I find they have variety and prices that suit everyone's needs; whereas it is all about the management and their response when it is required most.

Last Sunday(06/19/2022) I went there to shop for my groceries, after spending 20 minutes picking up fruits and vegetables from the fresh produce section and moving along from One aisle to another I ended up in the aisle 7 where I left my trolly on the right side to grab a dish cleaning sponge, it probably would have taken me less than 45 seconds to pick the one I wanted. What I found after that was my trolly was not at that place where I left it it vanished in thin air. I searched all the aisles, moving from one to another, left-right, and center but it was nowhere to be found.

That is when I went to the last checkout counter (one close to the office) and asked for the manager/ supervisor, I was led to Jose. I explained to him the situation that happened, and his response was not welcoming or helpful by any means. According to him, it happened to us many times as well, it is not something unusual. His unwillingness to help was evident. I pointed out that you have cameras all over the store but according to him it cannot be done as the 'manager' is not available on Sundays. I was told to come back at 7 am on Monday to find out what happened. Wasted an hour of my time.

No customer dares to touch another customer's cart; it was a clear sign he was trying to protect his employees who play pranks/ sick jokes with...

I went to Key Food Market place store # 2298 at Aguilar Ave.Flushing. This morning @ 0735 , sell person name is Claudia. When I was paying the price,she said it's $52 . I found it's not right. I asked her to double check the price, she gave me a dirty look.Finnaly she checked the price and it's became $32.28. She tried to charge $20 over. When I asked her how it''s become $20 more, She just keep quite. There was another lady standing nearby by her may be a Supervisor, also keep quiet. This is not a first time, she try to over charge me, it's happened before also with her and another cashier. While she was doing her job, she was talking and jocking with her Supervisor, if you run the camera at that time , you will find it.

So if I don't pay attention, I have to pay $20 more this morning, I had bad experience about over charge with this store before also. I complained to store manager but no response.

Is there any one at this store or Key Food can give a look about this situation? I don't want to lose any amount of money at this store.

I hope someone will take proper action about this situation. If I have a choice I want to...

This supermarket is dirty. They recently put up new walls by the vegetables by the main entrance while the store was open. Problem with that is they were cutting wood 3 feet from the vegetables and didn't have them covered or anything. Just what people want with their foods saw dust. If the board of health saw them doing this the owners should be sued and put in jail. Next they installed plastic flaps on their doors. Not a bad idea but they seem to lack common sense. I've seen people spit on it as they walked out. They put them up to keep the cold air out but neglect to understand that germs will spread because they never clean them. The only good thing they have that I like is a great staff, They are friendly and are willing to help you find what you are looking for. They do need to learn about properly stocking the shelfs. An example they stock 95% 7up and 5% Cherry 7up. If they run out of an item quicker then another they should put more on the shelf of that item and think...
