Our journey with East-West Music school began in 2015. My daughter takes Violin lessons with Mr. Joe. He is a wonderful and talented teacher with a warm personality. He is extremely kind and patient and creates an assertive learning environment.He inspires my daughter to make steady progress, week over week and and I have seen tremendous growth in her Violin playing skills and also her confidence.

She will be taking the ABRSM Grade 1 exam this fall, the school also provides AURAL lessons to help prepare for the exam.

The school also does couple of concerts in a year, which gives the students an opportunity to shine and boosts their confidence. The parents enjoy hearing their child's progress and it benefits the participants the most.The concerts are enjoyable and encouraging, showcasing the performances of all ages and all skill levels among the school's students in a warm and friendly environment.

I am really amazed to see the progress my daughter has made over the time from a beginner to being able to play beautiful pieces, and more importantly, it is not only about Violin but more about the music becoming an enjoyable part of her daily life.

I loved the school. My kids have been taking piano lessons in this school for three years. Before coming to this school, my kids already been taking lessons from other teacher but they did not like piano playing at all. I transferred to this school after someone recommended to me. The experience was totally different from the beginning. The note reading skills improved dramatically within the first half year. My kids not only learning how to play piano, they learned to appreciate music. They show passion to music. They started to request to listen to classic music and new age music pieces. On top of the lessons, the school also prepare the kids for ABRSM exam. My son was very well prepared and he was very confident when he took and exam. Overall, I would strongly recommend this school. East-West Music School offers a wide variety of music lessons and enlists many accomplished, dedicated and experienced professional musicians with active performing and teaching careers. My daughter studied piano under Mr. Liu for eight years and is studying violin under Ms. Chen. She has reached ABRSM Piano Grade 8 and is currently preparing ABRSM Violin Grade 8. Both teachers are very committed with their teaching, they put focus on technical skills as well as having fun and enjoy music and their teaching methods are well adapted based on my daughter progress. East-West Music School also offers group or one on one lessons in Aural and Music Theory to help prepare it's students for the ABRSM and NYSSMA exams. I also like the bi-annual concerts the school offers its students.
