Read moreThis is truly outrageous. If you truly make efforts to prevent conflicts, why were they allowed to have their party from 6 PM until 3 AM the next morning? What are the policies of your hotel? Is there no quiet hour? How do you enforce these policies? What allowed their party to continue until 3 AM despite your efforts? We paid to stay at the hotel for a vacation, not to suffer all of this. We were simply addressing the issue and standing up for our rights, but you accuse us of discrimination? Speaking of discrimination, it is you who are truly discriminatory. Because they were a big group that almost occupied an entire floor for a wedding, you dare not offend them because they paid more money. Since you allowed them to have 5-6 rooms on that floor for the wedding party, why were we assigned to a room in the middle of their rooms? Isn't it because we appear to be a vulnerable Asian couple, and you think we're easy to bully? They even knocked on the doors of the entire floor at 3 AM and talk very loudly. What did you do about it? Your so-called efforts were to make us pack our belongings and move to a basement room at 3 AM, or else threaten to call the police. That manager called the police because we were unhappy with her arrangement. Can you imagine how it feels to have to pack your belongings and move to a basement room at 3 AM because of another group’s noisy wedding party? She even used the threat of police involvement to intimidate us, saying that we could be expelled from the United States because of her calling the police. Isn't this blatant racial discrimination? We are the real victims, yet we are treated this way. Is this what you consider right? Is this selfish behavior of not considering others at 3 AM acceptable? Are we, as a vulnerable Asian couple, supposed to be bullied and discriminated against? This time, we will speak up and no longer remain silent. We will make sure everyone knows. Your hotel's shameful actions, disregarding the feelings of other customers and sacrificing the interests of ordinary small customers like us in favor of big clients,...
Read moreThis was a good hotel, especially for the New York Metro area. The room was a really good size, was clean, and fully stocked with everything we would need. The housekeepers were very nice and worked very hard to satisfy their customers. On the first day, we got up a little late and a huge family of twelve had just wiped out the food bar. There was one staff member trying to keep it all stocked and clean, but she managed to get the food stocked again. We didn't leave hungry. The next day there was plenty of food when we got there, but we arrived right before the large family. There still was plenty left after the big group left, because the staff member anticipated them wiping out the food and had plenty to restock with. I thanked her for breakfast. She also kept everything very clean!
Lastly, though we were about a twenty minute walk from the subway, there were two bus stops in front of the hotel. We did walk a couple times, and the walk was pleasant. It gave us an opportunity to explore as well. There were some really good markets, shops, and restaurants in the area that were brightly lit, so we felt pretty safe walking at night. We also stopped at Bagel Boy when we got off the B4 bus to head towards the Q subway line, and the bagels were delicious! We took some home.
I would stay here again - just make sure you book the hotel well in advance and use your AAA card...
