Vanka Cafe — Restaurant in New York

I went out of my comfort zone, and decided to be adventurous… This place didn’t disappoint me. I was happily surprised to see a quaint decor reminiscent of Russia in the previous century. The menus are in Russian and English and the waiters speak English, it’s great because I don’t understand Russian at all, but I do understand Russ Food! The food portions are big, beautiful and above all delicious! I wouldn’t change nothing, had tasted 4 main courses and loved each on of them, appetizers were good and had no room for desserts…. Want to start off by saying the wait staff is the Best!! Service very prompt. They never keep you waiting in any way & they work hard to make sure plave is clean!!! I have tried the majority of the food here through out the years & all of it is made with love. They do a very good job with that. Only thing is that Beef stragonof has no taste at all, Bland as can be. Just needs a tweek. When it comes to their sides it's a hit or miss on taste. But their Soups.. Salads etc Simple but very delicious. Prices are very fair. But even with that said I still continue to go for the simple...

Disgusting!!!!!! Used to go there every time after the gym!!!! Last time was final! They had a lot of people and I asked if it would be possible to eat. The waiter said yes. I had to call waiter to get order. The older waiter was very rude to me. He said that I can wait to place the order than he came and started to move my table without asking dont pay attention on me!!!!!!! I was shocked!!!!! I ordered the salad without onion and reddish. The salad came with noticeable peaces of feta cheese!!!! It looked like they collected it from other guests plates!!!!!! Very unpleasant...
