I will do not recommend! I went to my 4:30 appointment on time with Yumi and was very understanding with the staff since I arrived and immediately Yumi took a lunch break. After that she proceeded to go out for a cigarette! I didn’t have a problem until my services were rushed because they were soon closing at 7 and I still had a pedicure with May. Which is not my problem, they shouldn’t over book if they want to go home on time. I asked to pay as we started the process but she didn’t take the payment she waited til eight before she painted my nails. So she charged me $150 for my nails and pedicure. I was okay with it until I went home and realized I had some nails longer than others and incredibly uneven. If she’s a professional she should make sure your nails look good instead of you having to go home and inspect them to notice. My nails were rushed so I could get passed on to May for my pedicure which she wasn’t happy about because she wanted to go home. So my pedicure was rushed and this was a main reason why I even returned to this place a 2nd time. Paid $150 plus tips just to get rushed service and since I live far I called and asked if anything can be done since I won’t be paying for travel there again just to fix their error! After all my patience with their unprofessional service she told me no they they don’t do refunds. I never asked for a refund I asked for a credit or gift card of at least what my French cost which was $15. Other places do that no problem when they mess up. She charged me $70 for the nails and $35 for design. My nail tech would’ve never let me walk out like that. These salons want to charge you like private nail techs but give you chop shop work. Unfortunately I will be looking for a new place and sending my people elsewhere. They need better...
Read moreFinally got my nails done at Mama’s Nail and Spa after coming across their aesthetically-managed Instagram. Their posts are so nicely curated and the salon is no less. There are a variety of snacks and beverages offered to customers, even a Keurig machine for your use! Nail polishes are nearly arranged and adorned with a variety of gold and marble decor, and some succulents. The most eye-catching part was the glitter filled polish bottles, resembling a giant nail lacquer bottle.
I came in unsure if I wanted dip powder or gel. Malsha helped me weigh the pros and cons for the two types of manicures, but I went for the gel. She was patient with me when I couldn’t decide which shade of pink I wanted. She was honest about which color suited my skin tone and which shades clashed. Having really short nails make it really difficult to paint; most times the polish ends up on my skin and as a result, premature lifting. I left the salon with a clean mani and nothing on my cuticles!
This is my first time at Mama’s and it definitely won’t be my last. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the ambience is not like the other nail salons where it’s loud and smells like fumes. The interior is so chic, it really felt like a treat getting my nails done here. I definitely will be back to do a pedicure so I can take advantage of their 15% off soft...
Read moreThe literal BEST nail salon. The girls are all amazing and soo sweet. I’m a picky person when it comes to my nails, from the shaping to the small details of the designs I pick and getting exactly the color I have in mind, Mini muse is THAT spot that gets it right every time. They use high quality products, and are up to date on all the trends so you’ll never miss out on the latest cat eye, chrome or jelly colors. I usually either do Gel X or UV gel (with extensions). I’m rough on my nails too, as a bartender they are in the trenches with me but I don’t need fill ins for 3 weeks to a month at a time. The prep and cuticle work is immaculate and that’s why I can go so long and not walk around with a dusty set. I’ve been to other salons that charge wayyy more for such subpar work,...
