Diddle Dee Bagel Deli — Restaurant in New York

I have to give this place 1-Star because of the owner and his business practice. The guys who work behind the counter and friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh and delicious. Thats where it ends. Go to pay for it... every time prices change day to day. Even posted prices are not honored. The owner (bald guy) makes up prices as he see fit. On their breakfast menu it states a 2 Egg plate with your choice of meat, potatoes and toast is $7.99 Without meat its $4.99. I ordered Eggs, Sausage and white toast. Simple enough. I went to pay and the guy says $11.00. I said... the sign shows $7.99. He replied well that is with 1 sausage patty I gave you two. Well I did not ask for anything extra. Put down $8.00 and walked out. About 2 weeks later... go in for the same thing... Sausage, Eggs, potatoes and toast. Again the guy made up a price of $10. Again I told him the sign states $7.99 This time there was only 1 sausage patty in the plate... so i asked why is he charging $2. more than what is listed on the menue. He said he gave me extra potatoes. Again I did not order anything extra. And there was not an abundance of potatoes. Laid down $8.00 and again walked out. This also happens with lunch sandwiches from time to time. Enough is enough... I will be getting my breakfasts and lunches else where. This guys robs customers $1-$2 here and there... he makes out like a bandit. Read other reviews... seems like a lot of people experience the same prices on the fly practice...

As others have stated, you pay more for air. Prices are not cheap, coffee is sub par, they don’t make their own bagels, or rolls. No specials, no free coffee with your $8.50 bacon egg and cheese. Food is fresh and good ! My entire fleet stops here for breakfast and lunch! Lots of space to park your truck or car. Bring in your whole staff and the coffee is always fresh and always full. Food comes out fast and we all enjoy our food and drink outside on the table they have as well as a few benches. Come by for breakfast or lunch or dinner as they...
