The place is clean and beautifully decorated. They are quite welcoming. As you get seated you’re offered a bottle of water and that’s nice.

This is my 2nd visit to Mojito. During my first visit I saw Jeanie. She sits at the first chair in the second row. Her demeanor was pleasant, she communicated well and we clicked. The work was exactly what I asked for and I left thinking perhaps I’ve found my new home.

In this visit, she’s off for the weekend and I so I’m forced to see someone else or come back. The young man at the first seat as you walk in tells me he’s placing me with the “owner” who will do a terrific job.

I had one simple request- gel overlay on my natural nails with a (2) finger design. For starters, her work style is very aggressive. At one point I tried to explain my nail was getting hot and she doused my entire finger into the solution that puts acrylic on. Smdh Twice I had to tell her to stop because she drew blood and the next time she nicked my finger so hard I thought I lost skin. Clearly, I should have honored my instinct and ask for someone else to take over but I didn’t want to create a fuss. She rushed through the gel process and the final product looks exactly how it felt: aggressive, forced and painful.

I’m so frustrated because it was much a simple ask. I always come in with inspo and consider the tech skill level to ensure I’m not asking for something out of their scope. I’m thinking this was just not the person to work with. As such, I’m thinking of giving the salon another shot, with Jeanie or someone else to determine what happens moving forward.

For me, my nails are the one thing I depend on others for and it’s my favorite way to take care of myself so feeling like I have to fight to have good...

This place was so freaking traumatizing. Literally I had just came for a simple soak off. I had called and they told me it would be 5$. As the man was starting to soak my nails, I asked how much it is and he said 5$. I then told him I wanted to wax my upper lip too. I was happy so far however an older lady with glasses who they said her name is Lisa, even though it probably isn’t, she came and told me as she took over that my upper lip would be 7$ so I told her it’s fine. She then said my soak off will be 10$. She then had a whole attack screaming in Chinese to whoever she was screaming to and I kept telling her how they told me 5$ and she then pulled on my hand trying to take my gloves off while saying “okay no okay no”. She angrily tried to take it off because I told her I was paying 5$ as I was told twice before starting my soak off.

I had a whole anxiety attack from her pulling on my hand like a crazy lady. BASICALLY this place makes up prices and also does it not treat their customers with care. I ended up doing a manicure with another person and they charged me the full amount even after saying sorry 100373 times.

I paid 20$ and did not tip because they still had the nerve to charge me the full amount after putting me through that horrifying experience.

DO NOT COME HERE. You will regret it. No respect for this place and they must learn to respect...

Today I went here to get the shape the girl with the lighter pink had which was a more thinner and sharper look, as you can see the lady who did my nails failed to achieve that. When I was showing her my reference photo she caught an attitude because when she put my right hand down I tapped my phone to make sure she could see the photo. She then proceeded to move my phone to the other side saying that it was distracting when that was not the case. I SPECIFICALLY asked her to give me sharp edges before she applied the nail polish and she said she would when she was done. However instead of giving me what I wanted she complained and said that the nail polish was coming off due to the nail filing. Not to mention they tried to finesse me out of my money and up the price, they must’ve thought I was stupid because I’m young but they got the wrong one. If you’re going here go to the guy since it seems like he’s the only one who knows how...
