I started occasionally walking in cemeteries in the past 2-3 years. I encourage everyone to do so. It is relaxing and gives me time to reflect and think about humanity. It also makes me feel closer to my little sister who passed prematurely and left me heartbroken in 2020. This Peruvian cemetery is absolutely gorgeous and every tomb stone has a story to tell. The air is majestic and the trees are beautiful.

If you want to see the real mausoleum, you must come from the yellow park trail through the fence. There are some holes and signs of no trespassing but no one was actually there. Just don't do dumb stuff. Btw, the trails were brilliant as well if you just want to hike

Beautiful graveyard but there are devil worshippers here! There are pentagrams on the church window & tombstones!

I have been coming to Moravian since the 1970's, when my grandfather passed. It was beautiful and well-maintained. Through the 1980's, it was actually a nice place to just 'be' or even visit for the history or a drive through. Flash forward to the 2000's and now with both my parents buried there, I regret having made the choice to select this as my their final resting place. Crab grass abounds, construction is endless, and grave sites are left un-mowed for weeks on end. In addition, little or nothing appears to have been done to deter the deer from eating any flowers that are left behind. This sad state of affairs has only gotten worse since my father's death in 2009. Moravian Cemetery gets a 3-3.5 for overall maintenance of the roads and main building area, but a 1-2 for the way they've let the grounds deteriorate over the years. In contrast, my in-laws are buried in Linden, NJ on the public portion of Rosedale/Rosehill Cemetery. The condition there is far better and the staff is very attentive (even though they are under construction as well).

8/27/19 Update: I wrote a note to the staff regarding the condition of my parents grave site. They were professional and courteous and very responsive. In fact, they corrected the condition (a drop in grade of about a foot and a half) within 24 hours. This raises my rating by 1 star. The fact remains that I've needed to bring my own equipment and even top soil there just to clean up and groom the area. More proactive maintenance is needed throughout the entire cemetery, including emptying the trash receptacles and picking up old, spent flowers (the ones that...

Let me preface this by saying I’ve been visiting Moravian cemetery for 30+ years because my loved ones are buried here and the care of the grounds is below standard!

They have a groundhog infestation and while they are wild life they are destroying graves, I do not come to visit my loved ones to find holes and gifts left that are now gone and buried in these holes. Just yesterday I attempted to visit my FATHER and could not step out of my vehicle because of how many ground hogs were around, they are not scared of humans and can be very dangerous animals. They lay low to the ground and unless you know they’re there you could be in for a not so pleasant experience. My mother can not run when we are greeted by what the staff calls “wildlife” and they can’t do anything about them. Burying my father here was not cheap and now the cemetery is over run with these animals and I can’t even visit my father! Moravian do better! Let’s not talk about what the groundskeepers did to fix the holes these animals have created and to tell me well I’m sorry you lost everything but we can’t help you! How can you not help me the grave sites are being destroyed! We spend money to fix their areas and we come to visit our loved ones and now we can’t because we have to fear the animals at the cemetery! I’ve expressed that when my father was first buried the job looked better then the repair they did on the gravesite! It’s very disheartening that 17 years have passed and I can’t even sit and visit with him because I’m in a rush because a ground hog is staring me down! We are scared to tend to the gravesite because they...

Worst cemetery ever. They definitely do not live by their motto! The grounds are never maintained , graves are destroyed, robbed. I actually buried my husband at the gravesite 2 years ago and robbed of lamps, lanterns and yesterday I was thoroughly upset! A real Xmas tree I planted last year was uprooted and stolen. I emailed Moravian and they just told me that there is nothing they can do , since the cemetery is open to the public! What a poor excuse! So are other cemeteries! I wish I never brought my husband there! Worst cemetery ever, for the money I paid for a 4 plot ( I only needed a 2 plot) Plus, they are suppose to have “ impeccable maintenance in the Tristate area! Horrible, they do not blow leaves and do not maintain grass in spring and summer, all weeds! People at the office do not care! If security cannot take care of all the thefts, they should install security cameras for the price they charge! Appalled...
