Outlandish — Local services in New York

Let me start by saying I do not work for Outlandish in any way. I am just a very impressed customer, and very happy to have a store like this in the neighborhood!! No more sitting in traffic going to DT Brooklyn or SoHo!

Founded by two long-time friends and nature enthusiasts (including a Brooklyn native), Outlandish offers ALL the big name products you could want without having to sit in traffic to get to downtown Brooklyn or SoHo (or further ruin the environment by shopping online) - and its all at great prices! They're super mission driven, making sure that nearly half of the brands they carry come from well-sourced, POC and women owned brands, and even had a woman owned, POC owned interior design company furnish the insides. I did my first hike ever with Outlandish for their Juneteenth Hikish. Even though the hike almost took me out lol (the leader went faster than I anticipated and I’m a beginner) I was proud of myself for completing it. It was more climbing than I imagined. But Ken was a sweetheart! After the hike I had a lot of pain in my knee and he told me how to treat it when I got home. It felt MUCH better the next day.
