I rarely do reviews, but this is completely necessary- ITS DIATRIBE TIME!!! Iām convinced all of the five star reviews of this place are friends, family, and employees stuffing the ballot box so to speak. In my humble opinion, this is a legitimately terrible business. Donāt dishonor yourself and your family by spending your hard earned money here⦠this business will poop on your time! They do not give a frik about providing a good service
I made an online reservation for Park N Depart, looked like a great deal and in close proximity to LGA(within a mile!!!). I arrive with my family at 5:30 AM before the flight in a questionable location as far as general safety is concerned. Lots of garbage, cars on the street, run down area, and transient people near an overpass. Sketchy place to leave your vehicle. I proceeded to check in the mobile home office place of business accompanied with an unusually large amount of flies. Out of the three employees present, one was capable of speaking clear English the other two were not.
Part one- Online it looks like good deal but upon finalizing the bill it nearly doubled in price with extraneous fees. Complete bait and switch, but I had a flight to catch so I couldnāt quibble about it. The process of checking in/documents/payment took 20-25 minutes, due to poor communication skills. The one that spoke good English, for some odd reason, wanted his incapable employee to handle the transaction. Often he would chime in and clearly communicate what needed to be said. At a certain point, I had to say, ā Sir, my family and I have a flight to catchā. This business and itās people obtain ZERO respect for your time. It was also insisted that I used Zelle in order to keep the cost down (clearly, the business wonāt have to report taxes on that exchange). Got to the airport with little time to spare. Not good.
Part two- Arriving at LaGuardia upon landing, I contact Park Nā Depart as they instructed in order to get a shuttle to pick my family and me up from the airport back to my vehicle. Itās 7:33. Despite the difficulty of understanding the representative on the phone, with time, we figured out where the pick up spot was and it was my understanding that the shuttle was dispatched that moment. We wait there for 20+ minutes⦠The place is literally less than a mile away. I decided to call back and at this point, I am reasonable and calm. Itās 7:56. Same guy picks up the phone and he claims that they are on their way and that they will be there within 10 minutes. My assumption is that they ignored my first call basically.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR HERE! PLEASE READ! The posted price was $98.40. I was charged $50.86 in taxes and fees. Making the price $149.26. I pay the $24.63 deposit to reserve the parking and have to pay the remainder when I get there, which is $124.63. I get to the parking lot and go inside to pay, theres a 4% surcharge for cards, as if I didnāt have to pay $50 in taxes and fees, making the payment i have to make $135.51, and making the total payment for parking $160.14. Then they state that I MUST pay a $34.83 deposit IN CASE we come back late. This was not mentioned on the website when I booked the reservation. So in total i am now paying $194.97 just to leave the car here. This was all extremely misleading and frustrating especially when you are going on vacation.
Additionally, my vacation was a cruise on the Carnival Paradise ship leaving out of Tampa. On the way back to the Tampa port, Hurricane Helene formed ahead of us and we were delayed in getting back to Tampa until the storm made landfall. We did not get back to Tampa and get off the boat until after 10 PM on Saturday 09/28/24. We attempted to have family and friends pick up the car on the pick up date Friday 09/27/24, to avoid any late fees that would potentially be incurred, they would not allow us to do this as they stated anyone picking up the car would need the physical ticket, and they would not accept a photo of the ticket. They would not accept an email or verbal confirmation from us that it was okay for someone else to pick up the car either. So essentially they are holding the car hostage forcing us to pay any late fees incurred. Because we got into Tampa after 10 pm there were no flights and had to take the first flight back to NYC on Sunday 09/29/24.
We go to the parking lot and see if the fees can be waived because we were not at fault for a natural disaster happening and making us get back 2.5 days after we were supposed to. They would not waive any fees and showed no compassion toward our situation. So they kept the deposit of $34.83, and then we had to pay $70 in late fees in order to take the car.
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a parking lot and I will never park with them again and I urge anyone looking at parking lots near LGA to not park their car here. These are terrible business practices and I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would give them zero stars if I could. I called the number they gave me when I returned at 7:50 pm on Dec 16. No answer. I proceeded to take an Huber, though they said they provide shuttles until 8pm. Upon arriving at the lot, the gates were locked shut. But, my car and another car were parked on the outside of the gates. They said the gates do not close until 10pm. They were already closed at 8pm. I had no way of getting my key from the lock box because no one was answering the phone. Another family was stranded outside with me in the cold and rain and they had a small child with them. I continued to call the number they gave me, no one answered. I called customer service and sent an email. Customer service called the lot and said they didnāt get an answer either. I talked to them 2 different times btwn 8-10pm. Finally they told me there was nothing they could do to help me. I told them I lived 3 hours away and was stranded in the rain and cold in the middle of New York City in a shady neighborhood. Could they provide a hotel for the night so I could come back in the morning? They said there was nothing they could do for me. How is that customer service? So, I spent the night in a hotel, took me hours by train and subway to get there. By 1am I arrived. In the morning I proceeded to go to the lot. The staff told me that their supervisor David was in charge of answering the calls after 8pm. They gave me a card and said here is a direct line to talk to him. I looked at the number, it was their office number, no direct line. Lies. I called customer service once again. They told me that the supervisor had my number and would call me. If he didnt call me in 2-3 days for me to call them. After 4 days, he didnāt call. I called customer service again to inform them. That I wanted to be reimbursed for the hassle of being stranded and locked out of my cars for hours in the cold and rain and the expense of having to stay at a hotel when it was their staffs fault. They told me there was nothing they could do, that they could not give me a reimbursement. I feel so frustrated at their lack of customer service and care at my expense. I felt like I was going in circles with them and their lies.
Thank you for your patience in...
