I went in as a walk in, signed in with my name, phone number and birth date, easy enough. I was called in very quickly which was great. The lady, I think she was Indian, found out her name was Sandra, had me go to room 5. She was very rude and nasty. I felt her bad vibe from the beginning. She asked me for my Medicaid card since I apparently had a balance, even though I called many times to give my info. She gave me my card back and I put it back in my purse which was hanging up, and I went to sit again. Then she asked for the card again and I am like "really, you couldn't tell me you still needed it instead of handing it back to me? Can I just give you the number again since I know it?" Then she says "is there a problem that you don't want to give me the card?" Really??!!! Like I just gave her the card right before that with no problem. I just didn't want to get up and down ten times! Then she says "why did you scan Rayna's card?" I'm like "what are you talking about? I didn't scan any card, and she said "yes you did, it shows me on the computer that you scanned her fidelis. Fidelis is my primary. I was like I did not scan any card when I signed in. I only used my name, phone number and birth date. She said "well the computer shows me that you did" so clearly she thought I was lying. Ummm why would she call my name, I have a prescription with my name, gave her my Medicaid with my name, so why in the world would I lie about scanning or not scanning a card and why would I use my daughter's card when I clearly have my own??!?! I told her I don't want her to draw my blood, that she can have her manager come and I'll have someone else draw my blood. I spoke to Tiffany, who was very nice and she drew my blood. She said it could have been from another time that I got blood tests done, and I may have given my daughters card accidentally, but even then, how would no one have noticed that mistake at that time? That whole experience got me so mad. I told the first lady to look at the cameras if she doesn't believe me, but of course no she didn't. She had my heart racing from getting accused of lying and from being so upset over that whole experience. At least in the end, I got Tiffany. She was really good and if I ever go back there, I'll make sure I get her or anyone else...
Read moreI secretly hope this isn't related to discrimination against Asians because I've faced various challenges since moving to Staten Island to start my young family. Today, after dropping my son at school around 8 am, I went for blood work, having fasted since 7 pm the night before. Arriving hungry, I was called in by a black lady. She informed me that she couldn't proceed as my doctor hadn't sent the necessary information. Doubting this, I immediately contacted my doctor's office and confirmed they had indeed sent it. Upon returning, I asked her to double-check if my name was entered correctly. To my surprise, the document was there. When I pointed this out, she coldly responded, 'You said it's a blood test.' I affirmed, 'Yes, a blood test.' She corrected me, saying, 'No, it's called blood work.' Feeling furious, I realized a lot of time had been wasted, and it was almost 10 am. Trying to keep my composure, I said, 'Okay, I didn't know the difference; I thought they were the same. Can you do it now?' I have no intention of returning to this place and would not recommend it to anyone, regardless of their skin color. It's extremely...
