If I could give 0 stars or even negatives, I would!! I went to get some samosas, as I was starving since the morning. I ordered six samosas ($2.50 for one!) but that wasn't the issue. Samosas are served with a condiment (chutney) which is served in quite a large quantity. That's what I was expecting, however (as you can see down below), that was not the case. I went to the lady who handed me my order (she was average height and wore a turban/distar, working in the kitchen area) and requested for some more chutney, to which she answered with "I already gave you four." (She gave me two green, two red) I then showed her the quantity she gave me, to which she responded with an attitude. She then told another lady from the back to give it to me, again, with an attitude. Mind you, I was treating her with the utmost respect throughout this entire exchange, even with her attitude. I had one exchange of words with her, which I will state, "Ma'am, if you gave me this same food with a little smile and a little grace, I would've really appreciated it." I said this with a smile, meaning no harm. After this one statement, I went outside with my order, and she FOLLOWED me out of the establishment. She then behaved outrageously with me and started to curse and yell at me, "You should know that these sauces are complimentary! Lay a single hand on me, I dare you, and I will slap you," etc..... I avoided her as much as possible, trying not to create a scene. Another employee came out and calmed her down and he told me that this has happened multiple times before...over the same topic...with the same person. I felt so humiliated and disrespected. Was my reputation worth only two extra condiments???? To the lady - If you cannot respect human beings, at least have some respect for your turban/distar. The meditation and prayers you do quite obviously have no meaning or value for you! Disgrace to the sikh culture! (This is coming from a Sikh man) To the owner - I am sorry, but employees such as this person are the reason for why your stores reputation is in jeopardy and has such bad reviews. I am expecting a response to this action. A good business is determined by its employees, and it is said that our own people treat us this bad. The only difference between her and a dog was that a dog can bite, she was prepared, I'll give her that much! Learn to respect others, if not for your sake, at least for...

Read moreInteresting Indian punjabi store with overpriced sad produce and little old ladies coming out fresh chapati and frying up pakora and samosas. Tried a samosa cookie $1.29 plus tax. Tasty dough and " pow" spicy potato and pea filling. Too spicy for me but it was nicely done and would suit those whose palates like that pow curry spice. Plants are half price right now sp we got two for one long skinny eggplants. Most of the rest of the plants are 50 variations of Chile peppers. What a surprise lol. Didn't look at the shelves to carefully because we were hungry and heading to lefferts for Spanish chicken. But worth exploring as the neighborhood is south Richmond hill and pretty much all the customers except us were Asian as in Indian Asian. We love what stores like this have to discover and will be back to explore another time. Bonus is they are...
