AVOID FOR WAXING! Traumatising Brazilian wax experience.

I have been using hot wax for the last year and have been completely fine with it. Since moving, I tried Trendz. I have NEVER had an experience like this. The first lady didn’t even use gloves which made me cringe. Her waxing technique was also very faulty, causing major pain. She would keep picking at the tiny piece of wax to get its grip resulting in a lot of discomfort. I had to ask her to stop, to which she was VERY VERY keen to keep going , to the point when she STILL tried to apply wax on me unconsensually and I had to tell her to stop. Someone else stepped in. She suggested strip wax which I was apprehensive of as I heard it can rip the top layer of the skin off but eventually she convinced me and we went for it…. Only to realise that the first lady was going to stay. I have NEVER had it where there have been 2 people needed to do my Brazilian. It was a very awkward and uncomfortable experience.

I was promised that the strip wax wouldn’t result in discomfort however here I lay with a SEVERELY irritated area and burning sensations. I have NEVER had such a terrible experience like this and urge people to go somewhere else.

The first lady definitely WAS NOT wearing gloves as that’s is the first thing I noticed when she started. There was no discomfort during the waxing until after I got home. I have never had such discomfort after a wax.

I chose this salon because of the great reviews, unfortunately I was very disappointed with my experience. I booked appointments for up do hairstyles for two people. This was for a very important event. I was told the styles could be done and I felt confident in what the stylists were saying but that quickly changed when I got there.

First the woman who did our hair barely spoke. She only glanced at the inspo photos once and then never again. We have naturally curly hair so I was thinking maybe she’d blow it out but she didn’t, which caused the updo to look so frizzy and not smooth at the end. She didn’t even do a straight part in my hair. It was uneven and the face framing curls didn’t even match. The hairstyles looked nothing like the pictures we showed her. I’m also not really sure why she decided to crimp one of our hairs because that’s not what we asked for. I had to redo our hair at home for the event because it just came out bad.

I had high hopes for this place but it was a let down. Please get a better stylist moving forward. Do not promise you can deliver a style, especially on curly hair types if you cannot. This was not worth...

Teena is an amazing hairstylist, not only is she professional and very talented, she is great at listening to her clients needs and offering suggestions and alternatives to help give you the best outcome and make you look your best!! I’ve had my hair cut, colored, highlighted, blown out and I have also had my eyebrows threaded and gotten a facial from a another wonderful woman there who takes her time and provides excellent service. Overall I really love this salon and their extensive list of services and also the high quality products which they use. Their prices are reasonable and their attention to detail is exactly what I look for when I frequent any establishment.
