Walgreens — Local services in New York

The pharmacy: Rude & unreliable. It's like they hate customers. It's like customers aren't ill & need of courteous & respectful service. They made mistakes several times with prescriptions by giving us the wrong brand (that causes my mom an allergic reaction & they were informed of this several times), and there were times when they had given us the wrong medicine. My mom is elderly and could easily take what they give her without noticing it. So I've reminded my mom to check the meds before she leaves. One time, while she checked it at the counter, it was the incorrect med, and they gave HER a hard time in refunding and fixing the prescription. Seriously! I myself am a doctor of medicine. At this stage, pharmacies are just taking from a big bottle of pills and filling smaller bottles and labeling them. OR, just adding a label to bottles/cartons along with stapling a slip to a bag. Does this give them the status that permits them to put people in danger, the power to be so arrogant, rude and dismissive to customers?! NO!!! They shouldn't be in the service industry AT ALL. Especially to a vulnerable population needing meds. This is likely part of the reason society is getting more dangerous, heartless, careless, self-obsessed and unaccountable. Because those we are supposed to trust betray the principles of their profession without a care or accountability. Case in point: so many bad reviews, yet nothing improves. The pharmacy is atrocious! The so called pharmacists are nasty and sarcastic towards customers and always out of medications. Their response to that is to search other walgreens pharmacies to find the medication. Really?! I had to get a covid shot today. I waited over an hour, paperwork I filled out on line wasn't in their computer. I was ready to walk out. When I finally saw the so called pharmacist, I couldn't understand his accent, he rushed so much I wasn't sure I was getting the correct covid shot. All I got was a yeah yeah yeah out of him. Then he jabbed that needle in so fast and hard i jumped and screamed. Never, ever will I trust Walgreens with anything. I'm stuck getting my perscriptions filled there for now. My suggestion to everyone: Don't ever go to them for any shots or perscriptions!! They do not know how to properly administer them. I got so disgusted today I contacted the main office in Dearborn Illinois. Hopefully they'll at least reprimand the store, but who knows. Horrible pharmacy.....they refused to give me my medication saying that I had a third party billing when it was not true. I did all the leg work to clear something that I did not have....they can't think between the lines to help the customer properly. And after that they said that I needed a pre authorization from my doctor which I got. And then I tried calling the pharmacy to verify that everything was straightened out but I could never reach them. I would by waiting on the phone for a half hour and then when it rang multiple times it would hang up on me. I decided to call the corporate office to file a complaint and corporate office tried calling them to put us on a three way call but they never answered. Corporate office than filed my complaint and also issued the pharmacy a ticket for not having the phones working. I will call corporate office everyday now and the agent will write them a ticket everyday now until I reach them. Do yourself a favor and dont go to this pharmacy. Especially if your waiting on important...
