CTown Supermarkets — Local services in Newark

DO NOT SHOP HERE! THEY CHEAT YOU OUT OF YOUR CHANGE!!! At least 3 different times, CTown Supermarket, 910 18th Ave, Newark, NJ 07106, has almost cheated us out of our change, if we were not alert nor be able to count change! We are talking about a few dollars to small change, but if you are: 1. Old or elderly do not shop her, 1. A kid do not shop here, and 2. Not good at counting change or money, do not shop here! because there is a good change that you will be cheated out of your change! The sad part is that when you bring this to their attention, they think it is funny or something. No apologies or nothing, it is just so humorous to CTown. So people, community, world, do not shop or buy anything from CTown Supermarket, 918 18th Ave, Newark, NJ 07106! There are better options. Wait to the weekend and buy your food from a more mainstream supermarket, not this place, where the fruits and vegetables are not very fresh, you have to check the date on everything you buy here, if you cannot find a date, then do not buy it, and the meat is suspect! Poor ownership and management as well. Some very unprofessional employees too! They do not appreciate your business at all, so, do not buy from them nor their liquor store...

These people will close more than 30 minutes prior to their "official" closing time then wave you off like a fly when you call attention to it. They truly do NOT care about customer service, more ever their customers, US. PLEASE DO NOT waste your time or money patronizing this business. Just go down the block a little to Brothers Grocery & Deli. You're guaranteed to have a better experience. I will NEVER spend my money or even the governments money in this terrible establishment. Its time we start showing these ppl that they can not disregard & be unprofessional with us and still expect us to support their businesses. Because the truth is that if this "business" was in Manhattan THEY WOULD NEVER CARRY ON THIS...

Not my go to store for groceries. I feel like this place is overly priced. It is also congested. The fruits and vegetables do not look fresh to me. I dont like the organization of the store. I'll pick up like unique things there when I have absolutely no other option. But I don't really like this store. The employees are okay. They do not seem rude but they are not friendly either. I go there like once or twice a year if all that. Like I have walked in there and walked out countless times. There are stores you walk in for 1 thing and walk out with a 100. This store you'll walk in for 1 thing and just might leave...
