Layered Delights LLC — Restaurant in Newark

"My experience with this so-called 'virtual restaurant' was nothing short of a nightmare. First, there's no sign or indication anywhere that this place is called 'Layered Delights.' Instead, it appears to be a Jamaican restaurant named 'Birds Caribbean Restaurant.' After driving past the location twice, I called for help finding it. The owner answered the phone rudely, and when I mentioned I couldn't locate the place, she abruptly barked the address at me and hung up. Not once did she explain that the restaurant operates under a different name.

Eventually, I figured it out and went inside, only to find the same woman behind bulletproof glass. Before I could even confirm my order, she snapped, 'Your order said 11, so it’s not ready.' Her attitude was off-putting, so I decided to cancel my order through the Slice app, which required the owner's approval. Of course, she refused. I had no choice but to return and wait for the pizzas. When I went back inside, the owner confronted me aggressively, demanding to know why I wanted a refund. I explained, matching her lack of respect. Instead of apologizing for her rudeness, she argued with me.

While I waited for the pizzas for my daughter’s class, I could hear her hurling insults from the kitchen. To make matters worse, the pizzas were tiny, flavorless, had an ultra-thin crust, and weren’t even sliced. I was disgusted but had no time to argue, so I reluctantly took them to my kid's daycare.

To top it all off, the kitchen was filthy, the staff (or more accurately, the owner) was rude, and the lack of customer service made it clear that no one else frequents this place. In the 30 minutes I was there, not a single customer came in. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Avoid it...
