My experience with this location was horrible. Iāve rented cars through enterprise since I was 21 and never had a problem. Until I went to the Belleville, NJ location and had an encounter with Assistant Manager named (Justin). You should be ashamed of yourself on how you treat loyalty customers. I rented a car for (two weeks )first through insurance because my own car got totaled and I extended my rental and paid money out my own pocket. Long story short upon bringing the rental back on designated date, while I was at work I asked my boyfriend to drop off the car for me due to the fact that I have to be at work in NYC at 6:30a. I was never informed on drop boxes for keys for instances like this. After dropping the vehicle off I was informed that a missing piece from the grill popped out. They kept my $300 which was fine but Justin insisted I need to pay them and extra $200 to meet my deductible. To make matters worse when I received the rental I was never asked about enterprise insurance due to my own insurance company making the original reservation and paid for the rental. When I spoke to Justin about this instead of him being understanding and a leader of his company he insisted on arguing with me saying he and his workers always offer this insurance which in fact I know isnāt the truth. Little does he know how many times Iāve actually rented from this exact location and can only count on one hand when that insurance was offered. I was told by Justin himself I have been put on the āDO NOT RENT LISTāfor owing $200. I just spoke to corporate who indeed sent me a receipt telling me I donāt owe anything else to enterprise and in fact will be receiving a refundš³. They also informed me that Justin the only person working on my case put me on the āDO NOT RENT LISTā because I had my boyfriend drop off the car on my behalf instead of what he said the first time which was the $200 that was supposedly owed. Justin needs to reevaluate his attitude towards customers who choose to spend their hard earned on money to keep his family fed and paychecks in his pocket. I am disgusted and will never rent from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Enterprise location has an arrangement with the auto dealership I use: they pick up the dealers' clients and then retrieve the vehicle when you get your car back( Kia doesn't offer loaners.) Long story short; Brake problem, needed to leave car overnight Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Dealer contacted Enterprise on my behalf, they picked me up and brought me to their location in Belleville. On the drive I spoke to the salesman and said I was interested in a basis compact which he quoted at $29.99, discussed the upgrade to full size at $39.99. Got to Enterprise, after 15 minutes of being ignored, I asked to be shown my choices of rentals. Was walked out to the parking lot, where there were NO CARS left, only 2 pick-ups and 2 commercial vans. Saw a few cars but was told they were Ubers!? Why would they pick up a rental customer if they had no cars to rent them?? I was stuck wanted to get home, made the only deal I could to take the smallest pick up for the cost of a 'standard' at $39/day. My car was ready the next morning and I picked it up after lunch and dropped off the Enterprise at Dealer, gave keys to Service Manager. Get Credit Card Statement for over $260, for a weeks rental. Called, tried to work it out, was told to call Accounting Office on Belleville, was told they would investigate and get back to me, Never Did. Wrote letter and Emails, no responses. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE People to deal with, treat you like trash, have NO INTEREST in doing right by people. With Holidays and letters, 60 days passed and was told I have no recourse by CC Company, despite receipt from Service Dept showing drop off and pick up dates and times for cars. I had this for less than 24 hours, and a pick up, too, with NO GAS- Everything that could be wrong with this transaction was. Now I will get that CANNED answer about how they are Really Interested in knowing more, since CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THEIR PRIORITY! Not here. I suggest you steer clear of Enterprise in Belleville, NJ and call a cab, take...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place that is located at 53 Washington Ave, Belleville, NJ, 07109 is terrible to costumers. From experience, I went here with my parents to rent a car but for my dad since he needed a vehicle to drive otherwise he would not be able to go to work and his the only breadwinner to put money in the table. Things were going smoothly until we had to pay the $200 security deposit. However, that wasn't the problem, the problem was that we didn't have the money so looking for alternatives was pointless because the workers found them unacceptable even when there were good options. We had to rely on taxi in coming and leaving the place over and over again. As a result, we wasted time and money. That wasn't the worst part, towards the end, me and my parents went to choose a vehicle to rent as a worker was ready to show the various options that they had available for us to pick. There was one car that we liked but we needed credit or debit to pay the $200 security deposit as cash was not acceptable. My dad did not had enough money in either of his credit or debit cards but my mom did who was helping him. They didn't accept that option eitherway even when my mom was present and consented in paying the $200 dollar security deposit. They needed a credit or debit card with the name of my father only, which was stupid. We thought of one more option which one of the workers did not mind at all and told us to call him when we're ready. However, the manager came and showed the vehicle of our choosing to another customer and I complained to the manager even explained to her what was happening but she stated that her position let's her do what she wants. My dad couldn't go to work and we were leaving with nothing. I'm never coming to this...
