I went in to the store tonight after going 50 times over the past summer, with a back pack on. To keep the story short the red head young girl at the self check out told me I was not allowed to take my back pack in the store. I told I would leave and go to Walmart hopped on my motorcycle and went for Walmart, turned around in the parking lot and went back in. When I got back in, I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager. The manager I spoke with was a woman named Michelle. I told her the cashier doesn't want me going in to the store she walked past me and ignored me i thought she was going to customer service to call someone else for the situation, but no she called two cart kids up to bring the carts in for the night. After she called them she came back over and said listen you're not taking your back pack in the store. The back pack mind you was a military back pack from the marine corps, with a motorcycle helmet strapped to it. There was an older lady in line at the self check out and I said what is the difference between her bag and mine, I then apologized to the woman for bringing her in to the situation. The supervisor response was listen your not taking it in the store so you either leave it here with us or you go. I'm sorry but I'm not leaving my back pack with people I don't know, where it could potentially be stolen. I asked them if they would be responsible if my bag got stolen, the cashier then said I will be right here. I'm sorry but I'm not leaving my personal stuff with someone I don't know to watch over it. I was literally going there to buy diapers for my 9 month old, needless to say I walked in to Walmart with my back pack and had no issues and got the diapers I needed. I'm going in tomorrow to see if I can have a better understanding on why this happened. Update: a manager on days addressed the situation, assured me it was unacceptable to have happened, and reassured that it wouldn't...
Read moreNo stock on sale items, forced to buy non sale items if need the item. Update to earlier review.....Clicklist pickup is about useless. This store at least,(21st st Newark OH), seems to have people picking orders that put little effort in their jobs. They will claim to have no stock on items and either sub with something else or just nothing. I will go into the store to find a replacement item for non stock items and will find the item that supposedly had no stock. This must be a case of just not looking for the item since there was plenty in the store. Order 2 16-18 lb turkeys for Thanksgiving and get 12 lb subs. Why sub with smaller size and not bigger size? Turkeys are bought to size for the amount of people to be served. With an average total of 8-12 lbs shy, this creates a problem. I will just do my shopping on my own, the convenience factor is just not worth not getting what you need. Pride in job performance and customer care are, sorry to say, things of the past. UPDATE: 2/24/19 BELOW ZERO STARS Nothing but bad things to say about 21st Newark Ohio location so I'm not going to waste anymore time with Kroger. I hate Walmart, but, I will go there before I go back to Kroger. Now, I'll give Giant Eagle a try. I'm willing to spend more money if need be to be able to get things I want. Pay real close attention to Kroger's by one get one free on meats. They jack the price up to nearly double per lb. Kroger isn't saving you money, simply just forcing more meat...
Read moreDO NOT order Clicklist pick up!!! I am so angry and frustrated. We have ordered clicklist pickup 5 different times and every time it gets pushed back by a day. Every. Single. Time. Half the time they don't notify you either to let you know they are running behind and won't have your order ready, so be prepared to arrive and get turned away because it won't be ready until the next day. Our most recent order, was placed for pickup yesterday. They failed to notify me upon pick up. I just called them this morning at 9:30am to ask if it was ready, and CSE Brandon stated to me, "No, it's not ready yet. You should be able to pick it up at 5pm today." I said, "Unfortunately, I have an event to be at 5pm. It can't be ready any earlier?" Brandon stated, "Well, it might be, but I can't guarantee it. We're also trying to keep up with today's orders."
I am freaking LIVID. You're telling me you're working on orders placed for today and not getting orders completed that should have been completed YESTERDAY first?! That is absolutely asinine. I have a lot of patience and understanding, but that is the last straw for me. Why would anyone think it's okay to be completing newer orders first before getting your already PREVIOUS LATE orders completed FIRST. DO NOT ORDER from their clicklist pick up option. You will 100% be disappointed...
