Story Hall Daycare Center — Local services in Newark

Here is my story with this horrible day care: My daughter Victoria was going here for about a month or so and it was very weird she always cried when leaving her here after about week and half. I decided to pick her up early and popped in without notice one day (as it is my right), and I stood by her classroom door by the stairs because I heard yelling and screaming from the teacher or assistant, at the top of her lungs at these little kids telling them to sit up straight and my daughter started crying. As soon as I opened the door she was all peed on herself, probably because the lady scared her from all the screaming and she yelled at my daughter for peeing on herself. I told the teacher please let me clean my daughter and I will leave immediately. She continued to humiliate this other child that was not sitting straight. I left without notice for two weeks afraid to even confront these people. I decided to just keep it to myself and never show up. They are now suing me for the two weeks I did not appear with my child. By the way they charge you if you don’t show up either. The value was $500 and now they are suing me for $822. I will fight back with mistreatment of a child. This place is like a military. I tried to avoid confrontation by staying quiet about it, but after some of my friends telling me they had horrible experiences as well, even with other children biting their kids and no report or enough supervision given I have decided...

It was a very hard process for me to leave my 1 year old baby girl into the daycare for the first time. The first weeks where very hard on both of us, but the teachers of the 3 little pig class and the owner where always there to support me, reading my constant emails and messages without judging, and giving me advises as well as listening to the things my baby liked, she has been there for the past 3 months and i can say that i really like the attention they are giving her, i see videos of her smiling, playing, and that makes my heart so happy! My daughter is 10 months old and she goes to Story Hall. I love the atmosphere because it is friendly and learning oriented. My daughter learned how to grab her bottle and every day kids and even babies learn new things from their teachers, who go above and beyond to give them the best. People there are responsible, professional, and kind. I really feel comfortable leaving my child there because I know that she is in good hands.
