Very unhelpful staff as of late, which was not the case even one year ago. I was in the process of trying to both buy a suit and also schedule a consult to arrange rental for 2 suits for my wedding next September. Called first right when they opened on a Sunday morning and staff member on the phone was condescending and rude - she did not want to help one bit and more or less told me to “go online” rather than actually be helpful. Had to do some shopping in the area so I stopped by later that day, spent 10 minutes browsing before finally being approached (1 other customer in store and 3 staff working). Employee also seemed unwilling to want to actually work - he referred me to “just go online and do it there.” Only reason for giving 2 stars is that the employee did give me some measurements. Went elsewhere to buy my suit (for $100 less!) and am doubtful I will return for rentals for my groomsmen - the staff have ruined this store for me, which is a shame since I had a good experience last year renting for a friend’s wedding. My suggestion is to go elsewhere as the staff will only act like you are an inconvenience and they will just tell you to go online, which is an unacceptable answer - if I wanted to do it online why would I come into the store? I understand the entire world is short staffed but this is basic customer service 101. Working in customer service myself I would never be as lazy and unhelpful as this staff was last Sunday.

Read moreA bit of a mixed review. I walked in on a weekend to be fitted for, and purchase, a new suit. I received exceptional service from a UNH student named Sam. He helped me select the right color and fit I was looking for with 10/10 customer service. The tailor looked at the suit we chose, moved me up a jacket size and was a bit quick with her measurements and markings. I assumed she was an efficient professional and didn't need to take her time.
Two days later I was notified the alterations were done and it was ready. This time, I walked in and was effectively ignored. I was asked if I wanted to try the suit on and when I walked out of the fitting room I was left on my own. The employee disappeared and was already helping someone else, though she said she was going to help with my jacket fitting. Others were wandering around breaking down boxes and doing side work. No one cared to help me and check how the alterations fit or if I was satisfied. When I finally got someone's attention they quickly responded "ya, that looks good". A bit disappointing to be dismissed like that after purchasing a relatively expensive product, especially after receiving great service a couple days prior. The suit was also wrapped for me in plastic covering as they did not have any garment bags. Another small disappointment, but that's out of their control.

Read moreWe went for our wedding specifically for vests (because the sweet little old lady at the Dover tux shop didn't have the pattern we wanted) and one single shirt for my husband. The measurments were totally wrong for him and the shirt we ordered was at least two sizes too big which is insane because my husband is a giant. Then when we went to exchange the shirt for a few sizes smaller they had almost nothing in stock in his size, which they essentially guessed on the second time. We ended up needing a collar extender for his shirt that they ordered online!! We also needed a vest for our son who we only have on the weekends so we brought them a vest that fit him and they said it would be almost impossible to give him the right size based on another vest. So after forty minutes of arguing and them searching the "stock room" we said that's enough, we want an extra small just like the other vest. It fit our son perfectly. And lastly, the sweet lady at the tux shop charged us less for ALTERED shirts and pants COMBINED than men's wearhouse charged us for unaltered vests. AND she gave my husband his rentals for free. She didn't charge anyone fees for late returns/pickups or alterations like mens wearhouse did. I had tried to avoid going here at all costs because of the awful reviews and now...
