I had a terrible experience at the jewelry repair shop. We brought in a necklace for repairs, and immediately, the guy asked my partner if we were looking to sell. Despite our attempt to explain that we just wanted to repair the broken clasp/broken link, the employee called his boss via video call. The boss answered while smoking cigars and having a meal, quoted $50 for the repair, and promised it would be ready in 2 days.

Upon picking up the necklace, he requested the old clasp, but the employee insisted that "it is what it is." Upon closer look, I discovered that the clasp had been replaced with a completely scratched one. I called the store and spoke with Gregorio, who blamed his employee and called him "the crazy old man"- and promised to check with him- I was shocked to hear how he spoked about his employee.

When Gregorio called me back, he asked me to return to the store to get the old clasp, and repair it again. During the second attempt at repair, the employee couldn't find the old clasp but Gregorio assured me it would be ready when I picked up the necklace. However, on pickup, I noticed that the clasp had been polished but still had two scratches. When questioned, the employee didn't understand, so I called Gregorio again.

Gregorio claimed that he personally replaced the clasp, accused me of exaggerating, and mentioned that they usually charge $80-100 for such repair. He refused to replace the clasp and was extremely rude. Needless to say, I won't be returning...

Great local shop. I came in on a Friday afternoon with severely tarnished silver jewelry pieces (bracelet and ring) after spending some time in a high alkaline hot tub the previous weekend! I had to try to clean the pieces myself at home but was unsuccessful. I brought them in and was told to stop by the next day to collect.
