This small, modest joint is located on the Soutern end of Moody Street and serves up some pretty tasty Greek pizzas amongst other things. It's a family owned business with friendly owners and while they don't deliver, patrons are able to eat there or pick food up.
Their menu isn't very diverse but features the classics which are pizzas, subs, pastas, salads and a few appetizers including their garlic bread ($2), mozzarella sticks ($3.29), onion rings ($2.25), amongst others.
But what I can here for was their pizza which I called in and was able to pickup a few minutes later. I live less than a half a mile away from there and the whole process was very easy despite the fact that they don't have a website.
I ordered their small Athenian pizza ($6.90) which features feta, olives and spinach. The smaller size was perfect for me and it was ready in less than ten minutes. And the Greek pizza was a different take on the usual Italian style which has flooded the Boston area just about everywhere. But what is a Greek pizza you might ask? Well it's a simple but slightly different process during which the dough is baked in a shallow pan, over a small amount of olive oil. This results in a chewier, puffier dough which is quite different.
Overall, my experience there was good. They accept credit card payments, they were friendly, the place is clean albeit a bit on the claustrophobic side but I was happy to support a local, family business and wouldn't hesitate to get more pizzas from them in the future. Especially since the quality is solid and the prices are incredibly competitive.
On a side note, it looks like Greek actress Nia Vardalos, famous for her leading role in 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' has been there and even signed a photo of herself which is proudly displayed on...
Read moreIf I could give them zero stars I would. They are the most disrespectful pizza place I ever have been too. I ordered 1 white pie and 1 cheese pie. I received 2 white pies. Nicely called back and explained the mistake, hoping like any normal restraunt they would understand and fix. They then continue to tell me that it is the same pizza, that there is no difference and they did nothing wrong. Repeatedly telling me that I am wrong and not reading the receipt correctly. I was very specific with the instructions when initially ordering. The receipt was not read incorrectly what so ever. I was calm in explaining the situation to them, until they feel the need to imply there customer is stupid. Then personally informing that I am the problem and they did nothing wrong. Then proceeded to put me on “hold” only to talk badly about me thinking I cannot hear. I spent $70 on this place and it was honestly the worst customer service I’ve ever received for a simple mistake easily fixable on there end. If you could avoid this restraint I would avoid at all costs.
Edit to add again: Not to mention after writing this I also ordered mozzerella sticks. They sent me jalapeño poppers. With 1 French frie, inside an opened box and brown paper bag. This place is disgusting! I wish Google would let me post a Picture, for some reason it’s not cause this is...
Read moreOrdered two dinners and a slice of cheese pizza to go. One buffalo chicken dinner and one grilled chicken dinner, both with rice. (Menu states all dinners come with french fries and side salad and I asked if i can substitute the fries for rice and I was told yes.) Upon pickup, I re-confirmed that both dinners are with rice. I received one plate with buffalo chicken and fries and another with chicken and fries, but not the real grilled chicken; some processed version. Additionally both dinners lacked the side salad. Poor quality food, customer service - yes people were friendly, but bad customer service. I used to be a regular years ago when it was under different management, which is why I ordered food there today. Not going back there again. Very disappointed. Price for what I received...
