I'm Greek. I love all things Greece and Greek- except the Aegean Restaurant. Service was terrible. The waiter was unable to talk about any of the dishes on the menu. He was a kid, so let's give that a pass. My companion got her salad and it was soupy because it was so drenched in oil and completely overdressed. She politely asked the manager to take it back. The acting manager came over and it was so rude. Sooooo rude. Where is the Greek hospitality? Missing apparently, because I didn't see any Greeks working there. That should have been a big red flag. Our food came out and her garlic broccoli was ice cold and she asked for her lamb to be rare but it was well done. My Moussaka was completely inedible. I paid for my meal and literally took one bite. When I told the waiter it was inedible he said okay and brought the bill. I have never had an experience like this. It was bizarre. The Greeks are known for wonderful food and even better hospitality- the Aegean did not deliver either. I will never, ever return.

What’s the worst aspect of Aegean? Take your pick! A Sunday evening wait for a table, only to be told to sit at the bar? The frigid temperatures in the bar area? The dirty tables and chairs, which are never bussed, and thus have crumbs everywhere? The hour-plus wait for food, only having one cup of water the entire two hours you’re there, and never receiving the second round of pitas you requested? Or the cold, hard pitas they serve? What about the roasted potatoes that are as unseasoned, limp, wet, and slimy as can be? There isn’t really a mezze platter offered, where vegetarians and vegans can enjoy the Mediterranean cuisine. The prices are higher than advertised on the website, and you’re almost completely ignored by the staff. What a terrible experience for a first night in the area.

Above-average Greek food, and quality ingredients. Compared to my expectations that are unusually high for this Cuisine... not my favorite. This place has a very nice atmosphere and generally very good service. They definitely deserve a five-star in this category. In regards to the food, I think most people will be very happy. If you are from Greece or you visit there often and know what the best Greek food taste like.... You may be left a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong here everything is pretty good.... Just in my opinion not as good as it could be. When I go I usually order the kebab or the souvlaki. Additionally I usually get a calamari or a saganaki cheese app. I've also tried the avgolemono soup. These items all fit my above description.

Probably won't go back. Went for lunch the day before Mothers Day, was seated in the bar area but wasn't told the bar tender was taking care of that area with absolutely NO help. Waited for 15 minutes, then decided to go into the dining area to hopefully have better service. Waited again, manager came over and expressed it was a busy weekend. ( Place was not very busy, I think their problem in under staffing) Servers have to do everything, if they hired runners I think it would improve the service. Now the food issues. Got the bread and oil/feta in a timely manner. Ordered the dandelion greens ( they were just ok, and cold. Same with the marinated lamb ribs, they didn't even render the fat on the lamb ribs, very chewy and hard to eat, not a very good quality of lamb ribs, that's for sure!. Very salty as well. My server got a large group and as a result I waited for to much time to complete my experience. I was there for over 2 hours for lunch?!!!! They really need better management or maybe they don't care? I used to love this place, and visited frequently, it's been a few years since I've been here, was extremely...

Absolutely 5 stars for Aegean in Waltham! My husband, parents-in-law, and I had a wonderful dining experience thanks to their warm and friendly service that made us feel right at home.

We started with their fresh bread and the heavenly feta cheese in olive oil dip—simple yet bursting with flavor. The traditional gyro sandwich with fries was perfectly seasoned and satisfying, while the pastichio and roasted lamb with rice pilaf were comforting and delicious, full of rich, authentic flavors. The spanakopita was flaky and flavorful, complemented beautifully by the roasted potatoes drizzled in lemon—so good we were all talking about it afterward.

I also enjoyed a glass of Armenian red wine that paired beautifully with the meal—smooth, bold, and just the right touch of warmth to enhance the flavors of the food.

And the desserts—wow. The baklava was perfectly crisp and sweet, and the Armenian honey cake was a delightful surprise and the perfect end to a fantastic meal because it's not too sweet.

Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Greek cuisine served with genuine...

Very happy with the visit for lunch this past Sunday! We were a rather large group of 9, informally celebrating my mom's birthday. She wanted it to be low-key, so the occasion wasn't mentioned to the staff, but both, the service and the food, were top-notch. We all have different preferences, from lamb to beef to fish to seafood, and everybody's taste was completely satisfied. All dishes were cooked exactly as requested, no order was messed up, salads were fresh and crunchy. Our waitress, the middle-aged lady whose name I, regretfully, didn't grasp, was very nice and readily answered our questions. She recommended the bottle of wine that went well with meat dishes and helped greatly in choosing the right white wine for seafood. The restaurant was pretty busy, as usually, but we didn't have to wait long for our order, and everyone in the group was served at once. We were faithful customers of the Watertown, MA restaurant location while it was open, and after its closing came to the Framingham location once. We'll sure be back, even though it's a bit of a...
