I own a Travelpro / Atlantic carry-on that needed a repair to its adjustable-height handle. Unfortunately, Leather World is the locally-contracted repair site. The staff was incredibly rude - evasive, snide, cocky, refused to tell me what the problem was and refused to make any effort to even ask the repair technician (i was merely curious if it were user error or defective suitcase? need a simple spray of lubricant? bent arm? some plastic or metal stuck in the slide?). They treated my wife and our luggage like it was a game to them. Instead of simply accommodating and/or apologizing, the not-so-gentleman chose to take the defensive route when i asked why the lack of customer service as i was simply seeking the diagnosis just like one would bringing a car or computer in for service. While i'm sure their repair technician must do competent work, the store does not deserve the Travelpro / Atlantic contract. When your luggage company directs you to Leather World please ask for...
Read moreI was really disappointed. My parents were visiting from New Zealand for 2 weeks over the holidays. Their Briggs and Riley suitcase was damaged on the way out but was under warranty. We brought it in to be fixed before their trip back and were told that to have it fixed for no charge under warranty would take 2-3 weeks but for a fee they would be able to fixed it before their return trip. We made it clear that we needed the suitcase back before their flight back - figuring it was worth a bit of money to save the hassle of dealing with the warranty from New Zealand. When we called to see if it was ready the day after it was supposed to be done we were told it wasn't ready. When it finally was done we were charged more than we were quoted and the repair job was shoddy. We were told "we would have done a better job but you rushed us." Read moreI have been doing business with leather World Newton Centre and the Park street store since 1986 WOW for over 28 years! In short I always find the staff to be quite polite, personable knowledgeable, state of the art in travel related products and always friendly!
I believe that this the third generation of their professional business and I have to say "that I, as well as all my friends and family that have gone to the store feel the same!"
It's nice to do business with people who care about my needs and wants and are always professional and knowledgeable! I wish more stores maintained their values!
