Oak n'Barrel — Local services in Newton

Great spot for whiskey. Can't speak much of the wine, beer and other spirits, but it did seem like they had a good selection. Whiskey prices were a little high ($5-10) but I can't hold it against them cause it's Newton center and the rent ain't cheap. Had some rare stuff but was too expensive for me. They were using secondary market prices to help dictate the price of allocated bottles which I also understand....

Oak n' Barrel is the best! I've attended events there on a few occasions and I love that they support local organizations' fundraisers as well as offer frequent tasting events, to introduce people to smaller batch, local products. It's also very clean, organized, and such a fun aesthetic with lots of really great options. If you haven't visited,...

I've attended a couple of events here, and have always had great experiences. They've always been very friendly, very informative with the various liquors and wines and I like the fact that they sell singles of drink options I likely would have never known about.
