This is definitely the same RC games I've recently interacted with on tcg player. I know nearly nothing about card games so when a family member showed specific interest in Lorcana I jumped at the chance to get them something they would love. Usually local shops are a tad more expensive but I support because we play there, mostly board games but now the cards are a thing. So this new drop was happening and ignorantly I just went with the trusted website that had it. But I didn't know tcg player was other sellers or that they would allow price gouging at this level. Me not knowing better just added to cart and paid over $160.00 for a box of cards I've since found out is at target, GameStop, and even Amazon for $49.99. This is taking advantage of people and If I lived in your area I'd never visit your store if I found out you did this to people. Unsuspecting people not in the know just trying to buy a gift. This must be why so many brick and mortar game stores disappear. I'll be sure to price around next time, that was my fault but I never dreamed anyone would scam that hard. And I will make sure if I ever buy anything like this again it will not be from R.C. . We travel a lot and visit game stores all the time. We live east coast too so I'll be sure to skip any potential visit there either and I encourage anyone potentially buying from there to check their prices. They also refused to answer my messages to them in TCG player which is why I came here....
Read moreI will admit I was not pleasant when I walked in due to being jerked around by this place. Sent cards to be graded and now they can't find the cards. The employee I spoke with kept saying he was just a Saturday worker and was only allowed to contact the owner through FB messenger. The previous visit a different employee called the owner supposedly and said they thought they had been picked up. This was the 3rd in person visit regarding the "lost cards". He said we're looking for the what do you expect. One of the employees friends was in the store at the same time voicing his opinion as well which made matters worse. I commented that I felt someone was being shady and kept the cards and the employee said why would we keep cards worth hundreds of dollars when there cards worth thousands laying around. Let me be clear; Until these cards have been located, they weren't "lost in the mail" as someone in the store suggested. At best there has been some extreme negligence and the staff have misplaced the cards (I even asked what the policy on lost cards; was told "I'm just a Saturday employee"). At worst, they have knowingly withheld the cards themselves or information pertaining to said cards. So in short, don't do business at RC games, there are so many better alternatives in the...
Read moreWant to start this out by saying the staff are pleasant and the store itself is fairly good. I have been going here for a few months now to play Magic The Gathering since Dugout closed (RIP Dugout). But much like Dugout before it this place is plagued with people bringing their babies and toddlers with them to the card shop. We are here for a few hours on Wednesdays playing and the entire time these kids are screaming, crying, crawling, and running all over our gear and cards placed next to us on the floor. Most of us get one day a week to come out and relax with friends and play some cards, and each week it is ruined by these people. Almost all of my friends have kids at various ages and guess what, they don't torture strangers with their kids. They are responsible adults that take care of their family and figure out ways to play Magic around that responsibility. Each week over the past couple months I have seen at least one person leave because of these crying kids. And you may say "Well go somewhere else to play", not that simple as there are very little choices within driving distance for most people in this area. End rant, the store is fine, the staff are pleasant, just the crowd is unfortunate and the staff are doing nothing about...
