Halal Market located in Skokie may look like a small corner store but they have EVERYTHING! The expert butcher Abu-Bakaar gets all prime and the best meat quality you’ll find anywhere (baby chickens, goat, beef and veal). He takes a lot of pride in his work and you won’t find any cleaner, leaner and top cuts of meat anywhere! There is no smell as everything is super fresh and he packages the meat neatly in bags the way you request so it’s ready for your freezer! They have everything Pakistani and Indian that you could ever need! From frozen prepared items, plenty variety of rices, flours, pulses, spices, sweets, pickles, housewares and beauty products! All items on the shelves are fully stocked and all product is rotated properly. The store and butcher area is super clean and that’s why we travel 25 miles. They also do catering and sell ready made dishes from the fresh cut meat they get in the morning. Everyone loves their chicken biryani and it sells out fast. Parking is directly in front of the store and parking on the side of the store is allowed on weekends. I recently visited Halal Grill and Market and I was thoroughly impressed! This Indian-Pakistani grocery store has a fantastic selection of spices, grains, and specialty items that are hard to find elsewhere. The fresh meat section is exceptional—everything is high quality and perfectly prepared.

Recently discovered this place. Seems like a good selection of Pakistani & Indian pantry staples. Good selection of frozen items. I try to get samosas here as often as I can, but they often sell out before 5pm. Chicken 65 and biriyani are pretty good, especially if you catch it on the special. The butcher has some very good looking meat, but I have yet to purchase any. Staff are very helpful when prompted. Last time I was there they were out of samosas so I grabbed some out of the freezer.
