Absolutely my go-to for Mediterranean food on the North Shore!

Zad by Pita Inn has become my favorite Mediterranean restaurant, and that's saying something. When my friends visit from Germany, they specifically ask to go here because the food is just that good - that's always a great sign!

This location offers a broader and more complex menu compared to the regular Pita Inn down the street (they're the same business), and they recently renovated the interior which looks absolutely beautiful now. The space really complements the gorgeous food they're serving.

My go-to order is the braised lamb served over rice with their slow-cooked vegetables - the flavors are incredible and everything is so tender and perfectly seasoned. They're generous with the rice portions too, which I appreciate. I also always get the hummus topped with shawarma, and it never disappoints. All the salads and side dishes are exceptional and you can level up your meal with the home-made garlic sauce.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

Everything is made fresh with such clear attention to detail, and the quality is consistently excellent. The care they put into each dish really shows.

I’ve love zads since its opening when I was much younger and priorly knew it as one of the pits inns. Their food is top quality and very well seasoned, everything tastes fresh, and I haven’t found anything on the menu yet that I haven’t particularly enjoyed. The atmosphere is a good sit down restaurant with quaint and comforting vibes, they revamped a lot of things, but the customer service is still as warm as ever :3 we are always greeted with smiles and small talk and they even remember us with how often we go there. We’ve even gotten free desserts from time to time for the support from the new owner! I’m really glad we found zads. In my opinion my favorite dessert is really the classic rice pudding a la zad but all their new desserts have been great too! My favorite main dishes have been the dinner plates which have so much delicious food, very filling!! If I could give this place 100 stars I would! To begin with, the atmosphere, was amazing. It’s super clean, the tables and chairs are beautiful, and the overall view of the entrance and soft lighting greets the eye. Moving on, the service, was by far the best I’ve ever experienced in my life. The man working at the register greeted us with a warm smile, and cracked a few hilarious jokes. I very much enjoyed them aswell, especially after a long day. He was very respectful and kind, and even offered us free drinks. You can tell him and the other workers upon him were very polite and friendly, even without talking to them. Finally, the food was very delicious and pleasing.
